Interesting, in my opinion drawing circles [and lines] is one of the first 'instinctive' learning routines that any person that wants to draw will do; with instruction or not. Whenever I get tired of drawing lessons or completing a project I would draw circles, lines and ovals while trying to gain accuracy.

KZbinrs are sometimes better than some professors in art schools. I'm an art student and our art professors doesn't really teach us lol They show us samples of what to do, give us a deadline and boom just do it, they won't even really teach you 😂 Though there are also some professors who help their students with some techniques, but it was literally just a "little" help. Not that I'm complaining, but every student have different skill levels. I just hope they pay more attention to their students 😂 Oh and one more, most of them don't have the word "inspiration" in their vocabulary haha At least artists in youtube they help you get inspired and teaches you that "mistakes are just happy accidents."

Something he does that I don't think he notices he does or hasn't mentioned yet, is instead of what a lot of artists normally do: feel disheartened if they test something and they don't like it, he instead shows that even if it's not what he wants to go with, he still acknowledges that it looks awesome which keeps drawing fun. A good example of this was when he used his assets to find a background he liked. He ended up going with the stars, but he still tested different things and although he went with his first idea, it was still fun to explore and test.

I'm trying to imitate some aspects of his style, so far I've got some insight into how he does it. Lots of layers and blending is key to give it that soft glow. Especially in the eyes, trust me. I am surprised how easy it is once u can recognise what colours go together. Just remember for every warm colour like red orange pink you need shadows that are cool colours like blues purples etc And finally always do your sketch with skin tones not black, like he is doing. I am still not there but there are some very sneaky things he does that he doesn't share on this video. Chief among them is how long it takes, seriousely its taken me the better part of 4 hours on procreate just on the sketch , eyes and lower lip. Trust me this needs patience. Also every now and then flip ur image horizontally. It will minimise issues with symmetry. I didn't do this in the beginning which I regret.
