my first gun was a 410 loved that gun . was just a old single shot rifle but i still loved it . did alot of hunting with it . squirrels rabbits pheasant and i even got me a big ole turkey with it . great little guns . never been a hand gun kinda guy but if i was i would sport that judge . i remember when they came out with the judge back in the 80s . now its a classic makes a guy feel old .

I love these comments that talk about nostalgia, I know not all, but many people have great memories involving firearms, whether it be hunting, plinking, or just spending time with family and friends. I still have my first rifles and I remember all the great times they were involved in.

I agree with your theory. I used to drink reg pepsi and eat like trash and was over 300lbs. Started riding a bike and eating right and got down to 220. Since then i swapped to pepsi zero and starting being halfway responsible of what i eat and have stayed at 250 for a few years now

@@ChrisfromKeyfarm i appreciate you sharing! Been watching for a while because of the 212 swaps, but I like guns, too. My thoughts on this little thing are that for some folks (like me) this thing is stupid, and that doesn't stop me from wanting one a bit. I'm also thinking that that would be SUPER handy in the truck or tractor on nearly any farm. I feel like it would be a lot more effective on hogs and more useful in bear country if it was rated for the bigger cartridge. Ya know another thing that's cool about that gun is that you have the ability shoot leverevolution ammo and enough barrel to make it worth it. You would have a lot of options if you handload.

FYI, the Brawler is a shortened down & modified Tuffy. That is where it kind of gets the name from. The kids .410 shotgun is Tuffy, then the adults .410/45LC pistol is the Brawler. 😂

Oh heck yeah, brings me right back to the late 1990s when I went to this range as a young man. At the 25 yard range benches was a guy shooting single shot a long handgun very accurately at a paper plate. I walked over and he proceeded to say he'd bought it a few years back, he showed me it broke like a shotgun with a switch in front of the trigger guard and ejected a shell like a shotgun and in fact could shoot 3" .410 slug or shot and .45 but you had to thread on different tips which were about 2" long for different types of ammo. He said they were cheaply made and he had to redo the threads. For the life of me I cannot remember the name of that gun, I'd sure like to know

Thompson/Center made the original. model was the Contender. T/C was the innovator that 'beat' the atf at it's own game, skirted around the nfa act (1934) rules on a short-barrel shotgun, by using a rifled barrel. The insert [ or 'choke '] that screwed into the barrel end was used to straighten out the shot that was spinning from the rifling. To fire the 45colt the 'choke' was removed to utilize the rifling for projectile stability. The Thompson/Center single-shot has a brilliant history, and a massive cult-type following since it's inception in 1967. Mr Warren Center and K.W. Thompson Tool Co. develop/mfg. The barrel(s) could be swapped in a couple of minutes or less, even in the field, and were chambered in almost every cartridge of the day, up to a certain pressure (psi) level. Fifteen years later, they created the T/C Encore, beefed up frame and trigger, to now handle large to very large rifle cartridges. These two platforms were adopted by serious one shot/one kill hunters as well as precision bench shooters, and many wildcat cartridges were and still are created because of it. The configurations are almost limitless, handgun-rifle-shotgun-black powder, and the aftermarket options are immense. A cool thing about the Contender, the top of the hammer had a "switch" to go between center fire and rimfire. T/C was sold to S&W in 2007, and they are not currently manufacturing them, but a company named SSK Firearms has recently produced a new version of the Contender frame (and they are sweet). Many, many barrels are still being produced by several mfg's. Research their history, you may enjoy it. Ozo

i was commenting on shooting 45acp in the 45colt brawler and my big hands hit wrong button. ANYWAY i shot.24 45acp in it and worked, functioned great. to get the full advantage you need to reload. using Hornaday reloading data center information you can use the 45colt load data in the 45acp brass up to 14,000psi no problems. today im going to reload some 45colt 200gr xtp with w_ 244 powder 8.5 gr ,1079 fps, 12,900 psi,517 ft/lb . 250 gr xtp ,cfe pistol powder 8.8gr ,972 fps,11,600 psi,525 ft/ lb. both load data safe for 45colt and 45acp brass cases. either loads would be good deer hunting ammunition 50+ yards .papa wishing you well 😊
