I waited to see what you or Aiden would say about the garage, and you're spot on with the suggestion of dividing it off to create perhaps a second bedroom with ensuite. This is exactly the kind of property I want to retire to. I'd convert the "garage" to my living accommodation while using upstairs as a rental income.

I really like this, but I wish it was two bedrooms. I’m also having a hard time figuring out where I would put a tv and a couch. I would consider moving the bedroom door to the complete other end of the room across the entrance to the apartment. I’d close the existing bedroom door so you could make a soggiorno at the end near the balcony and the bathroom. It is a very nice place though. Maybe a second bedroom for guests could be made in part of the garage?
