What did you do to get the car to crank. I just finished my th400 swap in my 2014 but i have a no crank issue which i assume is a nuetral saftey switch i need to bypass

The neutral safety switch is in the trans and not the shifter. I just jumped the circuit at the trans harness end. For me, it was a temporary thing as i was changing efi systems. Definitely wasn't a permanent solution.

I seen your comment about pin 16 thing. That got us cranking. I have holley efi but i have a gate-way box to keep the wiring harness and all the cars stock functions working. So we had to eliminate the cars ecu control of starting

is the ford control pack able to control the th400 or do we need something else?

A th400 doesnt require any electronics to operate.

Really helpful man, thank you. Did you reuse stock bellhousing to block bolts? Or does the TH require a different length?

Climbed under it and check because i couldnt remember lol. Looks like i change all the bolts. They are shorter than the 6r80 bolts.

It goes with the coyote in mine. JPC racing makes a th400 swap kit for the s550 platform.

Are you planning on not street driving anymore with the non lockup converter? Just wondering, have a friend who ran one for a season and he'd boil fluid out of the breather on his.

I havent street driven it much latley. That said i still will. Keeping th fluid temp down can be difficult for sure. The bigger cooler and fan combo on this will hopefully do an ok job. Obviously alot of what makes or breaks it from a temp stand point is the converter itself. We shall see.

I have a question just completed this swap in my 14. Lund says I need to wire up a clutch switch as my car was a auto 6r80 car. What wiring did you have to do to get it to start? Thanks

Found a work around to eliminate the ecus control of the starter relay. Worked well. Pin 16 on the chassis connection is 12v from the start postion. The ground side of the relay i ran throught the neutral saftey switch. Move pin 16 to the + trigger on the relay and all works as expected.
