The issue with high low's car wasn't the turbos or how they did it, it was the fact that the turbos were on those engines to begin with, the VQ's found in Nissan Z's have relatively high compression to start and when you add a little very small amount of boost it can be fine but any boost drastically shortens the life of those engines unless you do rods and pistons at the least
