@@arcuscerebellumus8797 False.
@wolfvonversweber11094 жыл бұрын
@@arcuscerebellumus8797 I think you are confusing air filter masks with normal cloth masks, because you'd be right about the former, but are partially wrong about the latter. You don't need to force all the air through these simple face masks and >some< moisture doesn't matter, because there's no specialised filter anyway. They can't filter viruses out of the air. Their purpose is to redirect your breath from the person (or stuff) in front of you and prevent any liquids from being "launched" at them. It reduces the risk together with other measures like distancing, it doesn't eliminate it. Because they are not sealed, they are unlikely to get so wet to make drops fly of in 20 minutes, most of the moisture of your breath is just redirected. True filter masks give much better protection, but can only be worn for short periods of time. (You are right in that they need to be replaced or disinfected regularly, but not every 20 minutes.)
@wolfvonversweber11094 жыл бұрын
@@arcuscerebellumus8797 Yes, wearing a scarf over you mouth and nose will do the exact same thing as these masks and take even more fluid before they're wet ... but they're not really practical inside/when it's warm and also need to be disinfected. As I said: "some moisture", when they're dripping wet, they're obviously useless. And yes, it's just about being "less of a danger". If you're in a closed space with the same people for a prolonged time, they're probably pointless, because the virus will just be in the air around everyone. They're useful in more open spaces, like outside or in supermarkets or when your just visiting for a few minutes and don't cough on anything. Instructions on medical equipment are usually for high risk environments and VERY conservative. I mean, they're usually used in operation rooms, not for shopping. That doesn't mean they immediately become useless. But you're right, keeping them on "at all times" is a bad idea and they need to be disinfected for reuse. From my experience, wearing them 30-40 minutes didn't make my sewn cloth mask that moist, so I guess 2-3 hours might be ok. I disinfect them after 1-2 uses. Your use seems to be reasonable, I just wanted to clear up some points that sounded wrong to me. :)
@wolfvonversweber11094 жыл бұрын
@@arcuscerebellumus8797 Maybe it sits too tight so all the air and moisture has to go through it? I mean, there is little point to wearing it too tight, because there's no real filter. Cloth might also be the reason. There is probably a bit more fabric to contain the moisture. The "one use" standard face masks got ridiculously expensive over here, so I bought one from a tailor for a couple of bucks. Also bought 1L bottles of cleaning alc to make my one disinfectant spray. Budget crisis. ^^ If your's is wet, you should obviously change it.

It is absolutely a knack to be able to put 2 and 2 together. The key really is observation. Experience and knowledge of how things work help a lot. Being in IT no two problems are exactly alike, you have to be able to stop and think (which is really not that easy to do and I don't know how to teach that.) I have been in support for a long time. Stopping, observing and thinking are the keys.

Finally went to clean it out and they had babies, and the babies must have eaten the parents. The irony is that most laptop manufacturers leave very little vents on some of their models of laptops so it's impossible to clean a computer especially if the body is mainly plastic or metal with plastic clips that can break, with no doors or other vents. I hate it, and I feel some pc laptop manufacturers borrow from Apple in terms of mindset and it is horrid. When I went to unscrew My old laptop which was the second I have had, it was disgusting, I never wanted to break the clips. so I couldn't clean it as compressed air would only blow the dirt around.

I took a Dremel to the chassis of my HP laptop because it constantly overheated, there was no way to clean it easily or to open it without dismantling the whole fucking thing every time. So I got sick of it and milled out a good bit of the area right above the cpu fan and heat cooling pipes. Looks like shit but this way it can be easily cleaned with compressed air and there are no issues with overheating since then. Apple set a very bad example for the whole industry.
