To have that in Australia... Meanwhile, myself in the U.S. "You can't import cars that are less than 25 years old, due to safety and emissions concerns." ...yeah, implying that a car like the S660 isn't already optimized for emissions and safety, given the demographic it targets. The import law only protects domestic manufacturers, not the consumer. :c

Yeah the import laws are ridiculous. On some cars, sure the safety is less than up to par for American roads- like older Honda actys. But on any new car especially sports cars, everything is fine. All it is is protecting Ford and GM from the better companies!

@@RossReviewsau well at least its not as bad as buying cars here in Singapore, a honda civic 1.5 turbo can cost you 116k SGD (132k AUD) and you can only own them for 10 years unless you decide to pay about 30k SGD. Just like japan our road tax is dependent on the engine size as well. I do still see S660s on our roads though, but its extremely rare due to the cost of owning a vehicle here.

I’m Japanese who dreaming of becoming a s660 owner. I'm glad to hear the evaluation of the car from foreigners. I had test drive of s660 on a mountain road in Japan four years ago. I live in sydney but i have not really seen Kei cars on the streets here. is this a special import or are they actually sold at dealers? i lived in japan previously and those tiny kei cars are everywhere there.

Not sold at dealers tho they can be imported.. so not many on the road but you can buy from Japan and send it here 👏

In Europe, the Smart Roadster was sg. like this, tiny roadster, tiny engine, tuny weight and great fun. Those things were relatively expensive though, and not very reliable, so i would welcome this in Europe....however, if it has similar price as a Miata, it doesnt make any sense.
@RossReviewsau3 жыл бұрын
Interesting! good point i think if they sold it everywhere they would need to make it atleast as quick as a miata or give it a 3 cyl like the toyota GR yaris

3:22 look a V8 starter motor in a Honda lol. Great review on a weird little car. The bogan in me now whats to see one with a K24a3 engine squeezed into this little this thing, what beast a 147KW screamer in this 880KG would make! could do donuts in a single lane in traffic with cars all around.

This thing has got to be a blast to drive even if it isn't fast. Its more fun to drive a slow car fast than to drive a fast car slow. The turbo 3 cylinder found in the previous BMW 320i would make this thing move.

Hi Ross, as a second car (don’t need to worry about practicality), what do you think of the S660 MT compare with GT86/BRZ? I assume drive a slow car faster is more fun, is it the case here? Thanks

same principle with the GT86 but to me the S660 just had so much more personality.. and its seriously like almost half the size of a BRZ lol would love one as a second car
