I have owned an r6 since 2010 ... I had the 2010 and 2015 model ... I will never love another bike the same ... absolutely gutted and actually angry that it has been discontinued! I will probably buy the 2017 model for my next bike .... I just love the fact that it is soooo RAW ... all bike and engine .... nothing else!

@@R1___ Bro it is the perfect bike to start on ;) The torque in the lower end Rev range is low (2000-8000 rpm) meaning it is easy to control and you can really throw it around down there without coming off ...
@captninsno23202 жыл бұрын
Why did you get a 2015 when you had a 2010? they are the same. I have the 2008. same again... if it was 2017 then it makes sense. new body dash electrics etc..

Didn’t expect you to be into bikes! Fkn awesome 👌🏼 these mid 2000’s 600’s are just something special aren’t they!!! I got a 2005 CBR600RR that I’m storing away for 5-10yrs seeing theyre discontinuing 600cc inline 4’s pretty soon. Also got an MT09 SP fully tricked out….if you haven’t ridden an 09 sp or even just at 09 before you go to! Almost as much top end power at the inline 600’s but the torque from the 900 3 cylinder is like nothing I’ve felt before 👌🏼👌🏼 almost 100nm of torque on her hehe

Hey Mate,it just goes to show you're a pure enthusiast,there's nothing you can't drive or ride,I know those bikes well & nearly died on one,my mate years ago picked me up on his 2007 R6 model one night pissed & doubled me back to his house to drink some more about a 25 minute ride & about 10 minutes in he flew around a corner doing around 60 kms & there was a S bend in the road his front tyre smashed into the side of the gutter & bounced back off & somehow we kept going,but he stopped & we took a break in shock that we were still alive we had no helmets on or nothing just a t shirt & jeans lol,I can laugh about it now but at the time it was scary,anyway great review Johnny & I still love bikes even though I don't own one.

Don't mistake my constructive criticism for hate or negative comment. Ive been a subscriber from the the very start and I've really enjoyed watching your unique perspective on our Aussie built cars especially the Falcons. I remember when I first rode an 2008 R6 was a mates track bike, an ex YART factory bike at Phillip Island and it didn't disappoint, but it was far from stupid fast. Admittedly if you were used to riding a Hyosung 250 LAMS bike or similar then hell yes it would feel stupid fast but in the world of superbikes the R6 is a fantastic place to start if you are looking to improve your riding skills on the twisties and the track. I understand it's all relative, cos in my opinion my RSV4 Factory or S1000RR COMPETITION is stupid fast, but both of them would get spanked by a H2R in a straight line, and then of course you have the force fed turbocharged Busa and Z14R extended swing arm monsters ect. Now those are STUPID FAST. I'm sure you take my point yeah. I realise that you have probably done your research on Wikipedia or Google and can only report on what you read but trust me when I say there's not an R6 anywhere in the world that has run a 10 sec pass. On a stock bike even with a shorty or slip on pipe, if you are doing 11.50s you are doing well. Again I must say I'm taking about a stock R6, GSXR, CBR, ZXR, all the best crotch rockets are high 11s low in standard trim. If you do gearing, power commander and full exhaust and your a gun rider maybe you might scrape a 10.99 @ 120mph and we ride bikes and drive cars 😉👍
@RossReviewsau3 жыл бұрын
your completely right and i appreciate the criticism as i have not been on a lot of bigger bikes yet.. this did feel very fast for me so i definitely could be in the wrong calling it stupid fast.. i hope to continue with bikes tho and grow more through the reviews
