Looks like a great little scope, definitely getting one because I'm tired of using loupes and the headband magnifier things and these things are dirt cheap at least compared to most scopes. Glad to see that it can focus from far enough to leave room for working

I love it. I use it like a loup too. I ended up using a lamp stand as a mount but it's a little jiggly. I need to find a more stable mount.

Thank you. Did you take the light barrier off as you're showing it at the end of video without light barrier piece?
@FixitFrank7 ай бұрын
I did! I am still using it that way. You can remove or reinstall the diffuser depending on your needs. I know someone else who likes it with the diffuser so they leave it on. For me, it's easier to find a decent angle to read the small part numbers on the ICs with it configured this way. If I was using it for looking at more of a PCB(zoomed out), I would probably put it back on.

I have a question: when connected to a display with HDMI, can you view output on both the built in screen *and* the external display? Thanks!

Is there extension tube for this microscope? Like to make more vertical space when soldering? Would Extension Tube ET01 or ET02 (Extender Pole) would be compatible?

That's my only complaint. I ended up making a bracket so I can hang it on an articulated mount that used to be a heavy duty microphone stand for broadcasting. Kind of like architect lamps but for microphones. It's pretty good but it will jiggle a little g I bump it. I hope that helps.

@@FixitFrank Thanks for the quick reply. Do you mean there is no official compatible Extender Pole/Tube for this particular model? I think ET01/ET02 are compatible with DM9, which probably should be compatible with DM9 Pro too? " I ended up making a bracket so I can hang it on an articulated mount that used to be a heavy duty microphone stand for broadcasting. Kind of like architect lamps but for microphones. Also how reliable is this device? Does your still works fine? And does it have a warranty if something goes wrong with it in a time?

So far so good. Its still running and I beat it pretty good. I was hoping to find its limits but so far its just taking the punishment I throw at it. It fell off my bench had the stand land on it. no damage. I accidently heated it with my hot air station, no problems. Im not trying to hurt it but I am not treating it with kid gloves either. Im pretty happy with it.

I wanted to see where the plugs went in and does it need both cables plugged in to charge
@FixitFrank4 ай бұрын
No, it only needs the micro usb cable to the screen to charge the screen. The other cable is for the stand lights.

How do you charge the battery when it dies.
@FixitFrank14 күн бұрын
I use an external power source but if the battery dies eventually I could open it up and replace it.

Just needs usb c for both
@FixitFrank Жыл бұрын
that is really my only critique. I suspect the camera part was made before C was common place. I am seeing less and less micro and far more C these days.
