The two shows are pretty different so you're not going to ruin storylines or anything if you watch the OG show (I don't think, I guess it depends where they go in season 3). They're both really good shows, I love the new one but was a big fan of the OG back in the day too.

i grew up with original. looking back I think really Jason and Shirley were carrying the show a lot. the rest of the characters just ran around being boring and maria and Micheal were always getting p.f at each other . the reboot I find has way to many stories happing at once but is still good.

This reboot is gunna be really bad, they should've just did a sequel series called "Beyond Roswell" or "After Roswell" or whatever but not a crappy reboot. There was so much they could do with continuing the series. Max & liz got married at the end of the original & they could be older with kids. They never really completed the story with the Skins in the orig so they could be back only there could be a kind of war between them & a new Skin baddy. Max had a kid with Tess that they adopted out who was "fully human" & they could've done something with him like when he became 16 or whatever ages his latent undetectable alien abilities start to manifest. They could bring Tess back even though she died her good clone didn't & the evil clones of the other 3 did die so the 4 could be all back together again running around slaying Skins. Isabel could go back to Roswell & reunite with her husband because she could've been pregant when they left, Micheal & Maria could also have kids & so there's the old generation from the orig series teaching the new generation about their powers & how to fight the skins & it could be a kind of batton pass from the old to the new. This is all just off the top of my head there was heaps they could have done in a sequel series that the old series left open for more story about, we never got to see there home planet & we know with there tech it doesn't take that long to get there & back because Tess went there end of season 1 & returned in season 2 which was a few months min so they could take us there for a few eps so we can see what they looked like as aliens & not hybrid alien/humans. Such a shame everyone is trying to reboot every good series instead of continuing the story & leaving the old series the way it was.

Please don't judge when you've only seen the pilot. Its not fair to this show that you are comparing one pilot to an entire series. The cast of the original is really supportive of this new one. At the end of the day we all love the story that was written in the book, why cant fans of both shows bond over that fact.

@@samanthag1225 I'm a big fan of the original & they are crapping all over an amazing show to reboot it into something less then it was. The fact that they decided to remake the show instead of continuing the show shows me how little they care for the show which also shows me they won't put any or as much effort or care into this show as the people who did the last one. It means that hey they haven't got the imagination or care enough to think of anything new they can do so let's use an older idea & put that on screen again but change it a tiny bit so it's not "exactly" the same. They are making a copy, a crapper copy of something that was really good & had heaps of open stories that could have been used to make an amazing sequel show. No I won't give it a chance & yes I will judge it now because what I already seen shows me how absolutely lazy the people making this are, this isn't to make a good show this is for the quick buck they can make by wrecking something good till it gets inevitably canceled just like other crappy reboot/remake shows have. If your a fan of the original you should be angry also if not then your the problem because you don't care about the original you just care about watching whatever crap is pushed at you. I came up with those ideas for what they could've done for a sequel series from the top of my head in 5 minutes & that's because I know the show & can see what an amazing show they could make. Seems they are watching the original while writing the script for the new show each ep so they can copy & past the eps with minor changes. Disgustingly unimaginative & lazy.

If anything this is getting more people to watch the original show, so shouldn't you, as a fan of the original be happy about that? I am a huge fan of the original. This whole idea of " if you like the original you should be angry at the reboot" is crap. If you are a true fan you should love the story that was written in the BOOKS. Listen i don't care if you like this new reboot or not, i never said to like it or give it a chance, i just said don't make assumptions about what this whole new reimagining is going to be when there is only a pilot out

@@samanthag1225 you did say give it a chance "don't judge it" was your words & yes I will make assumptions based on what I've seen, & be upset about a "new imagining" because it's not a "new imagining" at all it's just lazy writing with a few things changed to try to trick people intonot complaining about their lackof imagination. Instead of expanding on a universe we already had giving themselves loads more space to expand, revisit the old & create the new they are rehashing old stuff & changing it for the worse. Any one that saw the original series (& unlike this it was very original) watches it & thinks "that's not how it happened" which takes away from the story it doesn't add to it at all. It's lazy, unimaginative & just shows how much they don't care about the quality of shows they put out anymore & the fact the a great show like this had to fall victim of this lazy "lets jus copy & paste to put something out cause our wallets are running low" writing is just sad & wrong.
