Hey rob! Just a word of advice on doing a flex fuel sensor. You want the sensor to be before the fuel rail, not after. Thats so you won't run into a lean condition while ethanol is injected before your ecu can read it. If you can please move the sensor from the return line to the feed line, that'd be awesome!

6an isnt able to flow for much over 450hp with E85 . it may be too restrictive. better off coming out of the tank also with 8an , and reducing , so down the road you dont have to cut and reweld a fitting when you figure out 6an is limiting .

Rob, why not run 93 octane with meth injection instead? Rotaries don't like E85 because - like you said - it gums everything up. It causes alot more wear too. It works great in piston engines but not for rotary engines - even though alot of guys use it. Here's a great article that compares and explains why: www.colemanprecisionrotaries.com/tuning--fuel--expanded-e85-coverage.html I've been following your channel for a while now and it's awesome. Ok I gave it a read as I also was thinking of converting to e85. For my application it won't be happening (stock Renesis for SCCA autocross). Rob has stated that he wants to push serious power (700+) with this motor. Based on the article, his best bet is to push all the E85 he can handle. Also what's a rob dahm build without blowing up a rotary and rebuilding it at some point 😆. Thanks for changing my mind. I don't think Rob's will change though.

Give you heads up you're going to have way more restriction in your fuel system using those y fittings by the engine then you would if you just ran one fuel line into your bottom fuel rail which the car runs off of 90% of the time and then run it into your secondary fuel rail then into your fuel pressure regulator before it returns that's the best way to do it the Y's just cause more restriction only benefit out of them you'll have a bit more volume in the system but it will cause a lot of restriction

Can I just say that rotaries DO NOT LOVE E85. I tell you this, Rob, because we have had all sorts of dramas with running E85 on two separate 13B-REWs both of which failed and lost compression because the E85 DOES NOT MIX with MINERAL OIL. It coagulates and forms serious sludge in the combustion chambers and rotor housing which gums up the apex seals in the rotor tip grooves and the engines lose compression and fail to start initially and then fail to start completely. You would know that the 13B injects it's own engine oil (or premix from a separate tank or premix in the fuel tank) into the combustion housing. This is mineral oil. Or it should be, according to Mazda. You add E85 into that, by way of the fuel injectors, and you are creating a recipe for sludge. Try mixing E85 and mineral oil in a cup and watch what happens. DO NOT DO WHAT ROB IS DOING HERE. $$$$ Engine rebuild will follow. E85 and rotaries don't mix.

Sorry, but E85/ethanol does not ''gum up'' stuff or corrode anything whatsoever. I don't understand how so many people have become misinformed about this. It will not harm any kind of rubber compounds or metals in your vehicle. The only thing it does is ruin a paper fuel filter and attract tiny amounts of water which is not a problem unless you let the fuel sit on top of metals for months at a time. I've been using E85 on a '99 carbureted motorcycle for 4 years now and nothing has been changed from original except a fuel filter and jets + a tune. No corrosion, no damage to 20 year old rubber hoses and carb parts no nothing.

It would be interesting to know what the weight distribution of the car is. It looks almost mid-engine.

Personally I'd keep the flex fuel BEFORE the rail on the feed side. Seems nominal but if your E content varies from before and after the rails, it could be another potential pain in the ass you could avoid. Just the .02 from a fellow Michigander cant wait to hear all of these rotaries brapping at the same time!

Need to make sure ur new return line is below the fuel level so you dont aerate the fuel.
