the animation is actually wrong! once the compressor is charged with gas, the cam separates high pressure at the output and low pressure at the input. the cam is increasing the volume on the low pressure side, as the animation shows, but simultaneously, the output trapped volume from the previous rotation is squeezed into the output. the operation is exactly what medical pumps use, a peristaltic pump, squeezes a pinch point and drives the slug of mass from the input to the output.

Exactly, it's always compressing or releasing refrigerant on one side while SIMULTANEOUSLY taking refrigerant on the other, and it needs one rev to compress it, not two.

how can the liquid be sucked up even though there is no fan with fins ? ( like water pump)

@@freddypurnomo8722 the pressure differential forces it into the compressor, you don't need an impeller to do that

Looks like it needs a second valve to prevent the co pressed gasses from being pressed out the suction side.
@DrFreeeman4 жыл бұрын
Nope. They are held on the high side by the rotor having 2 points of contact, one with the vane and the other, sliding against the chamber wall. A reciprocating compressor would need a suction side reed as the vapor is both taken in and compressed in the same chamber whereas by virtue of it's design the rotary vane pump creates 2 separate ever-changing chambers where, while one is compressing refrigerant the other is at the same time taking refrigerant in and when the rotor loops back around past the vane it will start to compress that refrigerant.

Does the direction rotation work either way. ie could I run a compressor anti clockwise on a car

You don't explain why it takes 2 revolutions. Seems like it would work every revolution.

What springs?
@DrFreeeman4 жыл бұрын
There is a single spring holding the vane against the rotor. It is not shown in this animation, which is a bit of a mistake. Along with them saying it needs 2 revs to compress, while in fact, it needs only one.

Whirlpool is rotary compressor …. But just look at the cooling is very very strong 💪🏽 for example whirlpool 2.5 ton split … give in T1 is giving 29000 btu and in T3 give 24225 btu …. And there is Reciprocating compressor give in T1 26500 btu and in T3 give 22000 btu only …. Now which one is great and better in cooling…. It depend on AC brand and quality brother

Why it has circular shape? Can't be like roatatory engines. Triangular type design?
