Can't wait to apply the DIY detail coating. Thank you for all you and your wife do. Very informative wish. I caught this stream early. Was caught in a middle of a job.

I hated polishing the sides of vehicles until I got the racatac. It never use to be a problem when I was younger but that tool has added years to my career and makes it so much easier to see and polish on the sides of vehicles

The Man! He speaks with confidence about the rotary. I was on the edge of buying the Rupes rotary but after seeing this video I am even more sure that it will be part of my arsenal. Once again Yvan is the true guru of detailing. Thank you for the knowledge.☮

Hey I hope everything is well I have a question and maybe you could talk about how to cut down on time during their details! How long should it take for someone polishing the whole car by themselves?? It takes me about 4 hours to polish then coat so 5 hours in total then 2 or less for the decon, how could I cut down my time or does this seem about right?
@Detailers-Business-Academy2 жыл бұрын
Good news, you have room to improve. 30-45 mins for the wash and decontamination, 1-2 hours to polish and 20-30 mins to apply the coating .

How did I freaking miss this haha 😂 soooo good, Yvan for the flex rotary can you use any pad ? Or did have to buy the lakes country backing plate
@Detailers-Business-Academy2 жыл бұрын
Thank you, I use the Lake Country backing plate. Yes you can use any pad, but I prefer waffle pads.

Utilisiez-vous le pad washer avec tous les marques de polie? On ne voit que très peu cette technique autre que avec des polie liquide/spray.
@Detailers-Business-Academy2 жыл бұрын
J’utilise sans exception un tampon de polissage propre et humide. Le liquide de polissage n’a pas d’importance.

How long can you let the coating sit on the paint before it needs to be leveled off?
@Detailers-Business-Academy2 жыл бұрын
1-5 minutes depending on temperature and humidity.

In your shops Yvan, I know you said your pre rinsed all cars to be standard. Did you prespray with ONR on every car before pre rinsing too?
@Detailers-Business-Academy2 жыл бұрын
No we used low pressure steam.
@TheSvoboda2 жыл бұрын
@@Detailers-Business-Academy so steam, and then rinse?
@Detailers-Business-Academy2 жыл бұрын
We used the steam pressure washer to rinse. It was 250psi at 330f, and 1/2GPM.

@@Detailers-Business-Academy quick shop question. Did you have a yearly towel budget, or did your towels mostly last a long time?
@Detailers-Business-Academy2 жыл бұрын
Towels lasted a very long time, the washer and dryer worked 4-6 hours a day. We didn’t throw out towels for coatings, instead after using them we dunked them in the wash bucket before the ceramic could cure.
