Very under rated video. Very informative!!! Best video I watched so far!

This is a great video guys. A rotary with laser treated wool aka deburred wool then a blue universal foam after that will in most causes yield the results desired. That's two steps. Also if a rotary was made and two drive motors were used to separately control the rotational speed of the centre and the outside of the pad so that they were the same, a rotary could possibly be hologram free all the time.
@matthewgibb26402 жыл бұрын
rotary - two steps in most cases. DA - one or two. One option is to use the DA for OEM paint, rotary for quality aftermarket paint for the higher gloss finish the rotary often delivers. The money is in one steps with DA and a universal foam pad and leave the rotary for aftermarket paints that are far more worth polishing with a rotary and for winning trophies at shows.

I agree that the rotory delivers a deeper gloss as well that show cars are looking for. DA to make the cash in detailing general vehicles
@NeilRodríguez-z8k8 ай бұрын
Rotary’s are useless in 2024 bud a “2 step” with a rotary is more of a 3 step because after you cut before you finishing you have to remove the holograms you just put in the paint a DA rupes flex etc. will not create more work while correct it corrects and corrects only rotary’s guys swear by it like guys at my shop but while their correcting their rotary tracks I’m already on step 3 rotary’s are like dinosaurs they’ve been around since the begging of detailing it’s 2024 rupes DA especially the forced action is better than any rotary

Best comparison I have watched. Thank you. I started with a DA, but had problems in tight areas as you pointed out. So to do a detailed job I think a rotary with small pad is a must have.

Or a mini sized (1"/2") dual action polisher. Better yet if it's interchangeable to da and rotary ! 😁

My rotaries have always been my problem solvers. Finish with my DA's. In my 20 years of doing this, a DA is not gonna get out mesquite thorn scratches faster than a rotary. I've experimented with same pad and polish on both.

I was trying to get rid of orange peel completely on my truck before but just made the paint job more faded I do have a denim pad and a heavy cut compound but last year I had heavy orange peel after painting it I did use sandpaper on it but in future but gonna paint it back to the original color it was metallic urethane midnight blue. I only been trying to learn auto painting for almost a couple years but have messed up a lot and even polishing need to get better. I have a lot more products now than when started off but am more into painting than polishing but want to get better in both though. I rather use a da polisher than a rotary though because a rotary will burn through the paint job and never did it with a dual action polisher I burned through the paint again this year actually but was using the rotary to apply the Lukat Fix It product. I shouldn't of made that mistake again going to fast with the rotary but I think it's better for me to stop using the rotary now and just stick to the da polisher. But will be using a high solids clear when paint again and not spraying as wet of coats as I did before on basecoat but the high solids clear got says to spray full wet coats but still going to wet is what did before and got orange peel. But in the future it's best for me to stay away from rotary but painting and polishing doesn't come easy to me but I only do it some months out the year and have been doing it mostly in summer. It gets cold where I am at and haven't got the right heater in garage to paint all year or be polishing but plan on putting exhaust fan in garage this year. Still would need right heater that won't waste a lot of electricity so can have the garage warm enough all year so could paint or polish.

Hi there Interesting information. So, in essence if you dominate and know how to fully control a DA and do not damage the paint surface, can you use the rotary?

Intersting, because ftom what i have seen and with speaking with professionals you can do more cutting and correcting with a DA, you get overal better polishing and or finishing with a Rotary.

Fantastic video guys! Tons of really useful info! I detail at home and am always trying to reduce noise for my neighbours. Is it correct to assume that as the rotary is usually run in a lower speed, it is the quieter option? Many thanks! 👍
@OSRENOfficial2 жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoyed it. It depends, even rotary of different brands might have a different level of noise. For both dual action and rotary, more often than not, lower speed usually means lower noise.

What if I'm just trying to get a mirror & smooth finish with my car SPRAY CAN paint job, which polisher should I go with, and also any recommendations of best steps to follow? Thanks fellas!

Fantastic video gents, looks like I might have purchased the wrong ( newbie to polishing paint so not wrong, but not the best option ) polisher up front, will be getting a DA before the weekend to see if I can bring up the better half’s cars paint to as close as new and then ceramic coating it.. will still keep the rotary polisher as I’m sure I’ll use it in time…

How about a long throw (21mm) DA vs short (8mm)? Is there an argument to use both? Great video, thanks!
@OSRENOfficial2 жыл бұрын
Great question! Yes, there are a couple of differences. Straight off the bat, we find 21mm better suited for large cars with many flat panels to work with. On cars that are curvier, we would revert to the 15mm da 5" da. It's less frustrating that way. 8mm is still relevant especially dealing with extremely soft and sticky paintworks. We still keep them around for this purpose. We also find that on a 3" da, 8mm orbital throw would better suit our usage, as there would be more control on smaller and divided panels we wish to polish. Perhaps it's also due to our smaller average-sized car models here in Asia. There is more to these comparisons we can write here, but without visual explanation, could be difficult to convey. We'll figure something out, nonetheless, a great question!
@erichzimmerman7972 жыл бұрын
That makes sense, thanks for the insight. I'm ready to try my long throw DA with some of your NAO Leveler 56. Please keep the videos coming, they are helpful!

@@OSRENOfficial all machines are still relevant. like a set of screwdrivers, each has it's purpose or more than one. rotary is often the best finishing machine but requires a very very high skill level.

Minta reply ye boss, terima kasih.
@OSRENOfficial2 жыл бұрын
Hi Celetials, air bukan lubrikasi yang baik untuk elakkan marring di kereta. Kami syorkan guna rinseless wash / quick detailer untuk lubrikasi. Quick detailer/rinseless wash > Kain Basah > Kain kering.

i use to work in professional detailing ? polishing shop! We always started with rotary polisher and finished with DA polisher ! DA polisher great for glazing and finishing and basically no chance to burn a clear coat ! Rotary pol is very easy to burn a clear coat if you dont pay att or if you are not a pro!
