This was an interesting one, but I don't think the deck is quite complete. It seemed like shelly was the least impactful card in the pile. It almost seems to me like this deck actually wants to be even slower & more controlling than it is... It'll be interesting to see if BLB give it stronger card draw to fight off the more traditional control decks.

I think the deck is fine as is, but it's simply going to have that flaw that it has since it targets creature decks. It can go without all of that and just play a traditional style Golgari Midrange plan and be fine, even without anything new.

How many black sources do you have to successfully cast the oblitorator. I run it in my gilgari with 21 and it seems fine but the odd time i can't

Id have one boseiju in the deck as my only mono green source. If you play against field of ruin decks I would consider a forest. So 4x llanowar wastes, restless cottage, death cap glade, blooming marsh...a boseiju, I like a bonus mirrex for control, 1 surveil dual, 1 Takenuma and 5 swamps. 25 lands. 24 black sources. 19 green sources. Gives you everything you need. If you want to go to 26 lands id consider a second surveil dual or consider a forest or even a tri land for cycling.

Your at 9 life(with just 2 cards in hand) and your first game mono red player JUST scoops? Okay..my guess is they drew a land then said idc anymore. 2nd game was pretty hilirous too. This is BO1 unranked or ranked?

I was at 1hp and all my creatures were tapped vs monored on 2hp while they had untapped creatures + whatever was in their hand, and they scooped...I don't think critical thinking is in the monored repertoire.

Sorry, I just feel like playing in unranked is a semi lazzy way to stream content, it's not always bad but I mean if you like playing without a challenge or playing people who can't play the game out till someone is deterministicly dead, what's the point in playing?

There are several reason to play in the play queue. Not everyone is worried about rank. Some people just want to play janky deck ideas. Even here, I'm featured decks that are basically hamstringing themselves to prep for the new set. That said, the content features both unraked and ranked gameplay. I even make the effort to leave an onscreen note and timestamps, so folks that only want to see ranked play can skip ahead.

You really don't need it here. Just increases the average cost of the deck for minimal benefit.
