I have a feeling we will get a bounce today in the S&P but I agree that the trend is in, basically short Nasdaq, long Russell. I feel like there will have to be a time soon, where the Russell will also fail. Oil seems to be holding up to me, even if it has been weak. Looking forward towards September for oil. We may see these market trends until we get a rate cut, and then the weather will change again. PCE was stronger again but I'm sure they will cut by September. Lululemon didn't do well and makes sense that neither did Louis Vuitton. No yoga pants and fancy purses this year lol

Haha yes, and no more expensive vacations, no flights. We are getting there. They will certainly ou cut in September, unless something big happens to prevent them 🤞🏻

I think too that rate cuts could actually continue to put us in a downtrend or rotation, just because the market is nasty like that, full of counterintuitive behaviours due to positioning. I sold my BLDR stock for a small gain, I don't trust the Russel way up here. Oil looking like it will bounce next week

Rotation??? That certainly is a nice name for corrupt trading practices! Not this time though! I sold out of all my positions last week. I think this is where the downturn begins. Inflation is not going to back down because the Americans will not stop spending money. They need to feel serious financial pain in order to stop. Mohammed El-Arian (great respect and very learned) is really great at speculation and sitting on a fence … but he never takes a hard position so that blink of an eye is all the takes for him to change his position. The Fed really won’t be able to cut till the December time frames

It looks topping to me too, but you never now with the rising dovish fed expectations. I will be surprised that the fed takes a step back now (for September) unless we see a very big warning calling for a no action. If they delay, it could be disastrous…

@@ipekozkardeskaya1383 - If they dont delay & come in now... there will be an unwinding of all the good work done with inflation rising again. On the other hand they need to pull consumer and corporate spending back and the only way to do is to deplete cash reserves... which is going to cost everyone dearly. Either which way... how does the Nasdaq sitting at 20,000 make it ok for it be there... The fact that the entire world has lost sight of any semblance of normalcy is going to be our downfall. Ok so I get it... Its pulled back to 18,900 but it belongs at 9,000!!!! Not this level...
