Rotational Mechanics | Problem Based on Collision | Angular Momentum

A vulcanized rubber disc (hockey puck) of mass m & radius R is moving with speed v and angular velocity ω on smooth horizontal ice. It collides with a rod of same mass and length 2R which is kept at rest. The disc sticks to the rod and both forms a rigid object. If for the minimum loss of energy in the collision v = kωR then find k.

Nitesh Singh there was a time when I was not able to solve ncert text questions during my preparation but today I can do pathfinder, consistency is the key

Do Pathfinder only if you are done with HCV, your coaching material (OR any problem book like DC pandey, cengage etc), and Previous year questions. If you are able to solve these with ease then only go for Pathfinder. In Pathfinder also do problems for which solutions are available otherwise it may consume a lot of time. You can consider IRODOV also if not done yet.
