Rotator winches TWO Chevys up a hill at the same time

Rotator winches two Chevys up a hill at the same time. Finally something new; I'm used to car fishing but never have I pulled up two at the same time! No clue how these vehicles got in this spot, but I heard the drivers were OK. The steep hill was much more rough than usual, so I used my harness for this one.
The first truck was easy to rig to, but trying to rig the second one so it would follow right behind was tricky. It worked up until a point, then I had to disconnect and do them one by one. As the first truck got to the vertical wall part, the Tahoe attached behind made it want to flip. My dad figured this would happen, but it was worth a try.
Still was a fun and good job and really hope the drone captured everything perfect.

It's always nice to see you and your dad working together. Dominic is continuing to show that he's a good cinematographer. I think you'll have to get him one of those director's chairs so he doesn't have to sit straddling an outrigger. I subscribe to several recovery channels, but yours is the BEST.

If both were raised in the air, they would have been spinning uncontrollably. The goal was to get them as far up as possible

VERY cool job!! Dominic did great with the drone again!! I did a similar 2 for 1 once. Guy goes four wheeling in a dry lakebed and gets stuck. His buddy with a winch comes to get him out and, he gets stuck. I chained them together and pulled them both up to the embankment at the same time. Then I separated them and pulled them up and out one at a time. Worked perfect!!! Watching your videos brings back a lot of great memories for me from my time doing this!! It's ALWAYS cool to see your Dad come out also!!

I hardly doubt the dry lake bed & embankment was nearly as rugged & steep as this was. He had boulders to go over, shrubs & trees. That would all play a factor in having to separate them, to pull them up😄

I love the drone footage, but miss your commentary during the recovery, and also the close up on the scene footage. A mix of drone and body cam. Looks like one of the vehicles clobbered the other in a rear end collision and both lost control and went over the edge. They must have flown pretty high to not get roughed up on the body sides. Looks like they hit and stuck where they landed. Best looking bodies I have seen from a fishing recovery. I'm sure both are totaled, but the tan truck almost looked like it could still drive.

Scratching my head and wondering like others... How in the hell did two vehicles go down that same damn ravine...? Just soooooo odd... The newer format (mostly music) is - ok - . . . I definitely love seeing the drone shots where I like seeing You, the guys and others doing the job... One thing I miss, that I really enjoy in your other videos, is your explanation of what You're Thinking About the job, as you go about doing what you need to do, to do the recovery... It's ok if you leave that out because you need to do what you need to do. I can clearly see what is going on, with what you're doing. You initially, at the start of the video explain what happened and what you're going to do, which is great... And at the end, finish up with what you did... I guess I'm just use to you letting us know step by step on what you're doing and why you're doing it... Once I was driving a fire road off Little Tujunga Canyon and saw a car way down this steep slope of scree. I went down there thinking it was going to be a rescue. Turned out it was probably stolen partially stripped inside, and had been there for a time. All I got in the end for my efforts was a good case of poison oak.

Cool recovery. As you like to get custom made stuff to help with your work, can I suggest a harness with integrated backpack for all the stuff in the red bag so that you have both hands free as you descend to the crash site? You would be more balanced and with the safety line attached at the rear, able to reach out and move stuff or steady yourself. Just a thought. Have a great day.
