Rotec TBI-48-4/5 Throttle body

In this video we use our Holden 202 Red motor to give the Mk2 Rotec TBI-48-4/5 a quick test run and low end tune up. I take the opportunity to explain some of the basic functions. This by no means is a dyno or power run.

Thats a really nice looking TB! 👍 So its like a hybrid between carb and tbi actually? How would you rate the atomization to a carb? As I understand it depending on the manifold proper atomization can be crucial.

It is rather a pity we did not have these back in the times of the HQ through to HZ series of Holdens. It would have enabled some serious fuel economy at the time the fuel prices went through the roof. Altering the mixture to suit the hot Pilbara climate then altering it again for cold old Perth would have been conveniently easy. I rigged an old speedo cable and an aftermarket adjustable main jet on the original carburettor but the motion of the cable was very vague.
