I’ve been thinking/saying and attempting this throughout the last four years as conflicts and medical emergencies have driven wedges between peoples, communities and families. Say focused on creativity, however that manifests for you and stay away from choosing sides, no matter how compelling arguments are to stick ones flag and to die on any particular hill. For die you will. Choose the truth of love and keep playing beautiful melodies, as you Rotem are are doing. I’m in the same camp only been playing for 3 years….do you feel you have suffered from it? I know a lot of licks etc, but feel rudderless at this point where I’m an intermidiate to adv intermediate but have never played with people or learned a whole song…curious to your thoughts. Thx

@@Ken-os3wgfind someone you like that has a program. Complete the program after doing all of it as described. Reflect on what you know now that’s different. Meanwhile, choose a list of songs. Doesn’t matter. Maybe Spotify top 100 worthless summer bangers or something. Learn a tune by ear. Get the meat of it. Take maybe 20 minutes. At the end of that time, move to practice something else. Growing your mind’s ear and ability to hear and play what you hear will make many songs available to you instantly and reduce the amount you need to memorize.
