Back in college, we had a druid in our party who was JUST like that. Whenever it came to negotiations for our adventuring services, HE was the one who did the bargaining and was kind of the unofficial party leader. It helped that he was an accountant IRL! It took all his effort to wrangle the rest of the party, especially our kobold-werewolf sorcerer and our halfling treehugger (it was a custom class) of mass destruction!

I like when weapons, even mundane ones, get ironic and/or funny names, it gives additional layer to the character using them 🙂And, of course, with this crew, the entire bit of acquiring the bow in question was hilarious. I am also very much intrigued by the character development by their halfling companion... Whose name I forgot how to spell at this time 😂 Great episode overall! For the algorithm!

I really like the idea of the recap rewards (yes, I'm catching up from way behind, I like having a backlog of those sessions so I can listen to a couple on a slow day in one go), on one hand it's a lovely reminder for people who need it, and on the other it will keep those who don't paying attention and not skip, because of innate urge to 'uhm, ackshually' as there's a hero point at stake.

okay, I am just gonna go out and say it. but I think Pikturn should be removed from the game. he is becoming a swiss army knife that is just the solution to everything. need someone to go unseen? Pikturns cast invisiblity, need a good shelter from the storm? Pikturns cast cozy cabin. need to transport a large bulk of equipment? here comes Pikturn and his floating disc. it just punctures any dramatic tension and story potential any scene could have.

Pikturn is a Bard, and Bards are extremely useful. His spells are aligned with his class and level.

I see what Thurston is doing: Pikturn is there to provide a cushioning in case the party can't get their shit together for a potential TTKO, like the storm. Notice how Pikturn only offered his solutions once the party had their go and it became apparent the party can't handle. Pikturn offered invisiblity as a last-minute touch, the shack took a long time happening and so was the disc. The disc was needed because the party, instead of just buying a pack animal, tried to bullshit their way into an on-the-spot homebrew luggage-balloon. In a normal game this would be the GM overtly cushioning (perhaps?) but this is also a show. Having the characters the audience is invested in final-die is a bigger problem than on a regular tabletop.
