Saturday 22nd June running the Rother Valley parkrun
232nd parkrun and 9th at Rother Valley.
A warm morning, was supposed to be taking it easy ahead of the 3 Lakes Classic, later on in the morning, but may have slightly got carried away, wanted to run at a 7:30-8:00min/mile pace, ended up running at an average of 6:54.
Official finishing time of 21:38
31st placed finisher out of 323 and 8th in the 40-44 age group

Great running. I didn't realise the dry ski slope was no more. It was really good as it was huge in comparison to others in the uk. I wouldn't fancy running up it mind!

Cheers Garth, while the ski slop is still there, there hasn't been any skiing on it for a couple of decades, fortunately didn't have to run up the face of it, just up the relatively gradual slope at the back of it, did have to come down next to it though!

Hi Duncan, yeah, I was taking it easy, although probably not as easy as I should have done, as I had the 3 lakes to do afterwards !
