It developed into a form of social commentary for black South Africans and has undergone several transformations with the country's changing political tides. Very nice know! Now I know the history behind this cultural infusion. I knew it was South African but now I know in detail where it came from. Wish South African artists would borrow some Nigerian culture also. More infusion of Afrobeats in your Amapiano would be good for Africa. DJs will play this along with other south African style amapiano and Nigeria style piano like asake etc. Let's give credit where credit is due. Fusion or fusing genres / styles isn't new to music nor afro- scene. Lets be specific like we know what we are actually talking about...
