Great question, I would avoid to underestimate the workload of UofT. I think many students underestimate how hard UofT is and I also made the same mistake as well. So be prepared for many assignments and exams👍👍

Is there a network to find out about the different professors for a course at UofT? Especially after rickys positive experience in Eco101
@RichardHan4 жыл бұрын
Great question, I would say the best thing to do is to reach out to upper years through Facebook/LinkedIn and asking them about it. However I will tell you that these are all very subjective opinions on professors so you may not like the professor even if majority says they liked the professor. I hope I was able to answer your questions and let me know if you have more questions!

Watch your vids all the time and I’m going to be studying at UofT Rotman in the fall. I was wondering with the pandemic if being on res is mandatory, couldn’t find a definite answer and it will be my first year in uni so I’m really worried.

Thank you and great question. However I don’t have a definite answer to that question as well, I will make sure to update all of you guys through my community tab if the university decides to make another big update. @RichardHan4 жыл бұрын
Great question and congratulations on your acceptance! So starting from March 2020 all the classes got switched into online classes. Therefore I was able to experience how its like to do online school for about a month. I personally didn't mind doing classes online so I would be okay with the university having online classes next year as well. I hope I was able to answer your questions and if you have any further questions please let me know. I wish the best of luck to you in the future!

How did u find online courses for rc?? Was it harder comparing to in-person class? Also, are there a lot of live online classes than pre-recorded?
@RichardHan4 жыл бұрын
Great question, I personally didn't mind doing online classes at all. I enjoyed how I didn't have to get ready to go to my lecturers and how I was able to listen to the lectures anywhere. Most classes provided a recording whether or not if the lecture was presented live. I hope I was able to answer your questions and if you have any further questions please let me know. Great video Richard, I like the format of showing the question on screen and then answering it. I've heard some people talking about U of T (in general) lacking a proper support system for the students who need help. What do you make of this rumor? Did you find that you had to always "help yourself" when you had a problem?

Hey Richard, just wanted to know if UFT gives you unbelievable amounts of homework or considerable amounts, like 50 or 100 pages every 2-3 days?
@RichardHan4 жыл бұрын
Great question, this really depends on the class/professors but I will tell you to expect a considerable amount of homework. Work load for each class varies a lot so it's hard to give you a clear answer on this. I am sorry that my answer wasn't that clear but if you have any further questions please let me know. Great question and thank you so much for your kind words. Since I am not a med student my knowledge in this area isn’t as strong but my safe guess will be uoft, western and McGill for medical field. Hi Richard, do you know an estimation of the grades you need to get to get to uft, as you are already a student there

Great question, first of all I would highly recommend you to watch my other video "HOW I GOT INTO UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO & UBC (Grades, Extracurricular, Video Interviews)" ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/aWLHo5iLqLRliqs ) because I talked about grades and minimum grades to get into uoft in that video. However to answer question, it all depends on how good your grades are compared to other applicants in your year. So it's important to have your grades higher than other applicants in your year to stand out from other applicants. I hope I was able to answer your questions and if you have any further questions after watching that video please let me know. I wish the best of luck to you in the future!

Thank you so much for your reply, Richard; it was very helpful. By any chance, do you know anyone who attends Victoria College? If you do, could you possibly reach out to them and ask what questions are on the supplemental application and advice for answering them well? I am planning on applying to Victoria College later this year and it would be great if I could slowly prepare myself for the application. I know that Trinity and Innis also require all applicants to write some sort of supplemental application. So, if you know anyone who attends Victoria, Trinity, or Innis, would you be able to reach out to them and forward my question to them regarding the supplemental application? If you do not know anyone who attends there or if its a hassle to reach out to them, that is completely fine. I understand that you have your own priorities.
@RichardHan4 жыл бұрын
Hey Jaden great question again, I didn't reach out to my friends who are in those colleges because I personally asked them the same question before. When I asked them about the supplemental application, all of them told me that it was not hard and it was significantly easier compared to the actual uoft application. I am sure they switch up the questions every year and they told me that if you didn't have trouble doing high school English exams you should be good. So I wouldn't worry too much about the college supplementary applications. I hope I was able to help a bit and if you have any more questions please let me know. 화이팅~

Hi Richard! I hope you are doing well and having a good time. A few weeks ago, I watched your videos where you talked about how hard u of t is as well as answering rumours about u of t. I remember you discussing grading curves and how that can help you in terms of getting good grades and a high GPA. However, a few days ago, my mom told me that she read in a book published by a korean author (whose son went to u of t) that professors try to keep every class at a "C" average and control their difficulty of exams based around that. I just wanted to ask whether this is true or not. Especially because university is not like high school where you can raise your grade just by working hard and that competition among students is rigorous. 질문에 답변해주는거 항상 감사하고 나중에 유티 합격하고 형한테 꼭 인사할게요~ :)
@RichardHan4 жыл бұрын
Hey Jaden great question again, so if you look back to the video that I talked about grades and curves you will notice that I said the professors like to keep the class average at a certain point. This point where the professors like to keep the class average depends on the professor/class. For example ECO 101 has historically had C+ as their class average and I noticed that the professor tried to keep the average at C+. So I wouldn't be surprised if some classes tried to keep their average at C. So my answer to this question will be that it all depends on the professor/class. However I certainly think that not all professors will try to keep the class average at C. I hope I was able to answer your questions and if you have any further questions please let me know. 형한테 더 질문하고 싶은거 있으면 언제나 comment 하고 항상 화이팅해~
