The most veteran of players can agree, that it doesn't matter how good you get at the game. You can have played since the times of Wild Shadow,(me) and memorized exactly which enemy beams, or arrows, or splash shots etc. you can't get hit by, by all means, and it's gone just like that. It just takes a fraction of a second of carelessness, or lag, or just simply the familiarity of it all will just brain fart yourself and the time it takes you to blink you are dead and years of memories and hard work and dedication is gone. This game has came a LONG way and I hope this community never dies. ROTMG forever!

I am not a very fast video game learner, however, I grew up in a household with gamers (including parents) so when I found rotMG I loved that it was simple enough for me to learn as I go without feeling like I was so far behind. I also like that there was stuff to do at every level. I have learned that I was missing out on a lot not that I know a lot more. I think it is a great game but yes, it definitely takes patience.

It's preference and you get better with time. I'm not good but I like to focus on the boss if it's not hard or an easy phase then myself for harder phases or bosses. Don't worry about soulbound just worry about bieng safe and nexusing if you have to.

Great vid! I totally agree with your suggestions, I got my first 8/8 by farming godlands dungeons and then trading for life and mana in usw3. Then when I first started trying lost halls, I thought it was so hard, but I looked into the shot patterns and found out it's actually not too bad.

It's easier? Sorry to assume, but you weren't specific, you mean how we just melt O1 in 20s and he doesn't even take a step? I believe they are about to make bosses immune to a lot of chain paralyze and chain stunning, so hopefully it brings some life back into those boss fights.

Ruben Neves yea I guess that’s apart of it. Just everything overall seemed easier when I came and tried exalt even new event bosses I had no clue about took me one try to learn what they do and I’ve haven’t died to many new bosses when I played for a good week when exalt came out

Ruben Neves im referring to when I played back in 2012. The game itself was so much different, being an 8/8 was seen as incredible and nowadays anyone can consume candies for free to become an 8/8. But I agree that the game has gotten more difficult now compared to recent years.

@@blaiden6 Yeah absolutely, I also started in 2012. I would say a massive thing that made the game easier was how dungeon bosses became much more generous with potion drops and lower required damage to even qualify, remember when you used to solo dungeons just to get that guaranteed drop? It was horrible back then and no wonder potions and 8/8 were so rare. And the extra 2-3 squares visibility in every direction of the exalt client made it so much easier for positioning and macro-play. The game is in a great spot right now. Just waiting for a new UI, something like WoW instead of the massive grey bar on the right side.

I played this game years ago and picked it up again recently! I died like 3 times but then I began maxing speed and dex. Eventually I just kept on farming random dungeons for potions until I was like 3 away from each stat (except for life and mana). Then I just traded some potions for others and converted the rest into GLife. By no means do I consider myself good at the game, but needless to say I was pretty hype. So if you've got useless gear in surplus just trade it to someone who needs that gear for the gear you need. Also learn dungeons, I still suck at toxic sewers and it's not a good feeling.

My problem with this guide, is the method you talk about to 8/8 and that stuff is taking all the fun out of the game, risking your character doing random stuff and just experimenting makes the game exciting and interesting. The point of a game shouldn’t be the end goal. It should be having fun doing stuff along the way throughout the game.

Try a google search for "rotmg opacity 5%" and it should be in the top results. Simple regedit operation. As for the dungeon progression I would love to get a video on this as well. XD

I just think about the joy of rebuilding and the smoothing progression. Sure, items are lost, but the experience stays. There’s always a chance to regain what you once lost and feel even more happiness than before. On the brightside, you could also feed your pet with all that fame. Have the mentality that you don't need to be min maxed on a character for it to be good. Most classes are perfect with just tops and an exa hp. It might be hard to play warrior without a jugg but he's still amazing with basic tops. Think of death not as an ultimatum but just a loss of time, dying is wasting your time since everything can be attainable again.

Any advice for dealing with the hardcore lag? Or poor FPS? I have a chunky enough computer to run it, and like 70mbs download speed but it runs like dog poo, and I constantly get the error connecting to server

download/upload speed has VERY little to do with connection. Packets only take a few hundred bits much less 70000000.

How long does it take you to enter a dungeon or usually go through a loading screen? If it's more than 5-10s, then it's on the computer, not the connection. Also, have you tried playing on a different server that's not so crowded? Best of luck, mate.

A commonly overlooked performance bottleneck is your disk (how fast can it be read from randomly? ) - which will impact loading times. For FPS issues you're going to have to delve into it yourself. There's not simple answer. Basically, loom at what's running on your PC and what resources it's using. Then, just eleminate everything that competes with resources for RotMG. A common one that pretty much everyone faces is the Windows Update service which hammers your disk.

It means the amount of potions you max. So if you're (example) 1/8 that means you've maxed only speed out of every other potion. (Example) you're 2/8, that means you maxed speed and vitality.

Find the right phases on the boss. There are some phases where the bosses are invulnarable, you have to always Dodge on those ones. But if the boss isn't shooting a lot and is vulnerable, go in.

I would say around 3 months from login rewards. If i were u i would spend that 10 eur/usd whatever for a second slot and if u keep playing after 3 months u will get a 3rd slot, also the game is free and this way you also support the creators. (Having one character for someone who plays regularly is like wearing a shoe on only one foot)

Sort of. There’s still a safe spot, but you have to read the starting rotation and shot angle, or hope you get the 25% chance for it to be on your banner. I’d recommend just learning how to rotate so you can complete every run

I kinda quit the game today as a white star. A bomb from red alien boss 1 shot my 6/8 after 1/2 sec lag. Before that, I died in a mt chain to mt boss, also a 1/2 sec lag. Before that, I died to lag in a chain for thicket. (insert roundabout roads meme for realm players). I don't like dying on 6/8s to this lag shit. I died not knowing wtf is going on.
