Y'all, this video didn't end up 100% how I wanted, due to working on two videos at once, and accidentally deleting the last few clips I shot for this video, while working on the NEXT video. BUT I think there's still enough here to get across how roto-casting works. Here are some examples of where you might use this: - Vinyl Style Figures - Helmets (Make a mold of your helmet sculpt, then use the mold to roto-cast the hollow plastic helmet) - Speaker Housings (Or other electronic housings) - Any large object where solid resin would make it too expensive or too heavy.

I think your video was perfect because of the imperfections. The Japanese call it Wabi-Sabi and it is sometimes described as beauty that is "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete." Perfection is stressful, so don't stress Crafsman, your video has everything needed to share your ideas.

Awesome video, I love that you try new things and post the results instead of rehearsing everything first. We learn a lot by watching different approaches and finding things we like about each one. You know, it probably wouldn't be too hard to build a small rotational casting rig out of Lego Technic sets. Now they even have a lot of different Lego motors you could use instead of a crank.

Crafsman! So I finally got my video together on making my miniature game room and I am happy with at least the gameroom itself. I noted you as one of the two inspirations for the project up front so people would know where they can get that inspiration from. I definitely styleized a lot of parts of the project. I wanted them to look like what they were but in a stylized kinda way so I could hide my mistakes a bit easier. What a load of fun! Thank you very much!

If you really want to super-charge something quickly, you can hit them with a blue laser. It's close enough to UV wavelength that it will make what ever you hit with it really glow.

If you have a UV light, it's fun just to turn off all lights and go around the house looking through all the drawers and stuff with it. Some plastic lights up bright, things that appear to be the same color come out completely different. Even vinyl records can have cool patterns showing etc. You can get cheap purple-lookin UV lights from China, apparently they're used to detect scorpions at night.
