Nice job sir . Ive had 3 Zens 2Zen Souls obviously my favorite 😅 my buddy storm staffer just got his opt.idol. pearl. I also have the Duo and Phase 5 and hy roads. The idol line for me never matched up but for my freinds great. You throw it real nice. Keep the videos coming. 50×4and three quarters ×35 😅

How does this optimum idol pearl compare to the idol cosmos?

Great question, I considered adding the Cosmos to the comparisons, but I wondered if I'd have too many. Cover wise, there's quite a lot different between the Cosmos and Optimum Pearl. I have the Optimum's cover being a fair bit stronger overall than the Cosmos. If I were to take the polish off the Optimum and have it sanded like the out of box Cosmos' finish, I think the Optimum would probably outlook it by 5 boards. Cosmos is nice and chill, smooth. Optimum has a fair bit more energy retention, too

@@wsbproshop The fact that stronger balls often hook more front to back and less right to left made me wonder how they might compare as the Cosmos has a benchmark strength coverstock that is smooth and rounded. I wondered how it would compare to such a strong coverstock. Plus, everyone touted the Cosmos as so “versatile” when it first came out.

I’m getting my first ball soon. I’ve thrown the IQ ruby pearl and liked that ball a lot. Do you think this would be a good recommendation? I like the color scheme on this more.

Yes, I thin it would be an awesome first ball. Perfectly balanced in the middle. And, you can always ask your proshop to adjust the surface grit to roll exactly how you need it.
