So you have to grind the chops with like a horizontal grinder, and then you run the chips through this to grind them again any dye?

That is one use case for the CP-118 or the more likely situation is a tree care company that is using a chipper and instead of dumping the chips or bringing them to a landfill and paying a tipping fee, you can use the CP-118 to regrind & color for mulch - a marketable product. Our customers are saying the natural mulch is too small. This is the only mulch we are making at the moment. Can I make difference size mulch?

Does adding regular wood dye help?

The dye is more of a preference, many people as use natural mulch. The CP-118 is designed to transform tree chips in to mulch, it could be natural or colored.

What is the coloring of the chips good for? ... Isn't that harmful to nature?

The dyes used are water based and non toxic. Pet friendly and enviro friendly.
