Rotorua New Zealand 🇳🇿

The name Rotorua comes from the Māori language, where the full name for the city and lake is Te Rotorua-nui-a-Kahumatamomoe. Roto means 'lake' and rua means 'two' or in this case, 'second' - Rotorua thus meaning 'Second lake'.
Rotorua has a population of around 71,877 people. It's located three hours southeast of Auckland in the North Island. It's nicknamed 'Roto Vegas' (like Las Vegas) by locals. There's still some debate on where this nickname came from, but it's been around since the 1980s.

Hi. No, it sulpher mud pools. Smelly place 😀 There is a lot of geuthermal activity in Rotorua. A lot of beautiful hot springs can be found in Rotorua.
