I did this track, luckily I made it but these people ahead crashed, I curbed someone how, however, my mum, my friend, and my friends mum weren’t that fortunate. They crashed into the slow pokes. I literally went forward and heard screams so loud. I someohow finished this track when I was 11.

I was in Rotorua NZ in 2006 and got lost around Blue lake and green lake, terrified but i found my way out as it was getting dark. Also did the Lake Waikarimoana trail, Didnt they used to have Zorba around Rotorua there too...? I went on the luge at queenstown but this looks so much better

I went on this when I was 15 years old, although I remember there was a fork in the track at some point with an advanced section you could take that went down a steep section where you got mega speed. I'm now 46, and going back there in June. I can't wait.

Decades ago, my daughters and I rode the luge and I came around the bend at the top of the steep section and there were two teenage girls stopped at the bottom, blocking the track and there I was, coming down on them like a dive bomber. They heard me screaming and scattered, leaving just enough gap for me and my vapour trail to get through. They showed up behind me at the drop-off point and there wasn't a lot of eye contact from them. Great fun, all the same and my daughters and I nearly blew our budget on the ride.

Awesome sauce. Love the little stamp on his right hand. They give you that stamp to prove that they have shown you how to brake. If you go too fast and stack it, well that’s your own stupid fault mate - you knew how to brake. There’s no suing for compo in NZ which is why such fun is available. And you do get airborne at 0:59

Ridden this as long as it's existed. What you are watching is the "modified", or "safer" track. In the early days at the top there was a serious Air Drop that went to a decline which accelerated the carts to warp speed. Then you had 2 options, to take the next right hander in the Fast or Slow lane. Adrenalin junkies took the "fast" option, those who shit their pants after the dropoff and decline took the "slow" option to take some pace off. Had a few crashes myself, mainly from inexperienced or young kids being stopped or having a meeting between themselves on a blind corner. Skinned the side my left leg from ankle to knee once, took 2-3 months to heal. i'ts still great fun, and we ride it whenever we are in the region. You just keep going back.
