I have this book already and its is amazing. This is the first marvel artbook I bought and I was surprise with the whole double spread of concept arts shown though out the book and its epic. Though you are right about the contrast to the images but it doesn't disturb the enjoyment of reading this book. The one thing that did bother me was the page 296-297 with the concept art of the team as the split of the double pages goes right through Starlord's body; that is just bad image placement. Usually an epic image of a group like that should take at least one page not spread over two and ruin the epic ness that comes from that artwork by splitting the group up.
