Hey ! I know its been like 4 years since you posted this video lol, but is rotring 500 worth buying? I thought of buying the rotring 600 but its a bit expensive for me haha, so is the rotring 500 worth buying instead of the 600? But great video tho !

The 500 was the original Rotring drafting pencil, you can see pictures online of the O.G one with the burgundy red body. It sold like hot cakes ofc! The 600 was released later, and actually didn't sold well, because it was a radical departure of what people were used to, and for that reason you can find many 600 new in the box today

Graphgear 500 beats all the Rotrings! Probably the best mechanical pencil for drawing! For free drawing,you just add any of the Faber Castell TK 9400/4600 or the Staedtler 780 and you get the best drawing set,in terms of performance!

Hey, by any chance, is there a way to disassemble the drafting pencil? Mine got jammed pretty severely and I only made it worse trying to get the lead out.

Hello, I am looking for an ergonomic and high quality versatile pen. With the suggestion of my students; "Caran D'ache 844" "Pentel Graph 1000" "Kaweco Special" "Pentel Kerry" "Lamy 2000" "Pentel Smash" "Platinum Pro Use 171" "Rotring Rapid Pro" I want to choose between models, I write a lot because of my profession, so I want to use a comfortable and solid pen. I would appreciate it if you could help me choose which one is the best among them.

I have a 500 with lead stuck inside, and can't find any way to disassemble it. What to do?

Some companies sell an eraser with a lead clean out rod though these may not work well if the lead is really jammed. You can find something thin enough to fit through as well. Lastly, you could try using another piece of lead to push the jam out but this could cause further problems if the jam is really bad

@@GentlemanReviewer Actually I just noticed the lead is not stuck. I can see right through the hole. The inside looks empty, but I can hear loose lead pieces inside, pretty weird.

I believe in Japan and Europe the 500 comes in 0.35 mm (German version of 0.3), the original Rotring 500 came in 0.3, it's called the 503
