Well yes and no. Season 3 was a mess and had such a huge jump and way too many drastic personality changes. I basically didn't like any of the protagonist and that's a bad starting point for a final season 😅

@@stefan514 yeah sure. it declined little bit but cmon. Lots of shows are nowhere close to this and they have plenty of seasons. Story was fine

@@stefan514 It was a bit uneven.... on the other hand it was one of the great tv explorations of how untreated trauma works, once the Bowmans weren't in constant peril they all (except maybe Gracie) acted in really dysfunctional ways trying to process the trauma they'd experienced without actually confronting it. Disappointing to those who just want aliens and shoot outs but compelling in its own way - which was always the strength of Colony using the alien invasion as a mcguffin to explore real political/personal problems. Season one was an examination of a totalitarian society, season two was about the neoliberal consensus (really, it was) and season three was about refugee trauma.

I watched this show. It really broke the mould regarding how these sci fi shows usually proceed. The first 2 seasons were dreadful then season 3 really began to get interesting and kick butt. Then it got cancelled. Shame.

These "great shows" always spend first (and second) seasons doing nothing, then they run out of funds. They still have enough money for 1 more season - so they try desperately to make something from it, but get canceled in the end anyway. And we wonder "Why do great shows get cancelled all the time? Sure they first TWO seasons we're boring, but cmon the 3rd season was great!"

@@ScrewInTheTuna_ The lockdowns and curfews I can see your point on, but everything else I've not seen personally here in the UK. The only supply chain issue we had was toilet paper(which everyone had) and that hardly makes life dystopian. There has been no rationing and no private security forces acting as law enforcement. Also what has AI got to do with any of this either? There is also no convenience in the show being cancelled 2 years before a global pandemic either. For a start the show had a rapidly declining viewership, the first season averaged about 1 million views per episode, season 2 had around 750k per episode and season 3 was under half a million in some cases.
