NICE work. Gives me a better understanding on how I can build my Model A roof.

Been watching since part 1 and love your work. I'm from Australia and we've been using Metric since 1973 which is by far a better system of measurement, and find it interesting listening to use using inches etc. All the best to you and I'll watch each to the finale. 🤗👍

Believe me, I wish I had some time to work on the A too... Been super busy here, I've got 8 customer cars packed in the shop right now, one leaving today, a really nice 55 Chev that I just put vintage air and power steering on. I'll make an update shortly, roof skin is on the coupe, and I just got some engine parts for the banger build....

This is extremely helpful for me, thank you for sharing. On my car the roof skin is already welded in without any structure under it (I have no idea why). Do you think I could put a structure under it as is, or would I be better off just cutting it out and welding in like you did? I’m not sure how I could get any meaningful welds on the top side of the structure without access up there

You should use two (2) wipes to remove the grease, etc. one saturated with the chemical where you wipe, the other dry cloth you then use to wipe dry which will pick up the last of the grease, etc. One wipe only gets some much the second takes more off so that you have a good clean surface to which you can sand or apply the primer coat...I would sand the fresh metal for mechanical tooth, maximizing the adhesion level with the primer.

I see you often weld without a mask. Have you ever given yourself Arc eye?

Nice work, but WHY DID YOU WELD WITHOUT A MASK DO YOU HATE YOURSELF?
