@@NoNonsenseKnowHow The 'detours' aren't why I come, I have my own 'detours in playlists, by hey: They're easy enough for me to skip past, and sometimes, like on the old jet boat that needed some TLC to get going, it was enjoyable to watch. So my 2 cents would be to keep them in if you want, I can skip them easy enough when I want. I like your videos. I'm glad Jen is getting her own channel. Keep this channel auto related and the MAJOR distractions to a minimum, then people who want to see Jen can go see Jen. That would appear as a win/win for me, I'm here for the auto work, not to ogle some other guy's wife.

Interesting. Thanks for the info! The owner said it was definitely a 68 but when I looked up front end pictures I realized it looked more like a 1970. Didn't bother to look up the rear end differences. So it probably is a 1968

@@NoNonsenseKnowHow The 68 would've had the VIN on the top of the passenger's side spring tower (that someone cut a hole into). If there's no VIN on the dash in the usual spot, definitely a 68. If there is a VIN on the dash, the second digit will tell if it's a 68 or 69 by having an 8 or 9 there.

@@Mike-xt2ot he bought it in 83 for 1300 dollars after he wrecked the one he had in High school. Nice Texas car barely any rust. Swapped everything over into the shell of a car and it’s been together since. It was taken off the road in 96 because of brake and wiring issues. Also the front trunnions are worn out. Needs a new hood. The old one was from his first car and is really rotten being from Chicago. It has a lot of life left. I did some rewiring and now the tach and the key is fully operational and it drove to where it sits. Will be going back in the barn it sat in once the tractor we are fixing up can drive again.

I just got further into the video I have a Chevy 383 stroker motor and it I was told is 180° out what is that how do you time something that's 180° out is that because it's got a 400 crank in a 350 and the timing marks are located in a different spot on the crank I've talked to a couple people in the past and they didn't know anything about it and I just heard you reference it in this video and thought you would be the right person to ask. Keep up the great content and thanks for helping a service member serving overseas. I became a Marine and earned my Eagle Globe and Anchor back in the 90s prior to the internet well it was new LOL and we didn't have anything like this for them to have an avenue like you to plead their case to and for you to make content about said request vehicle is really satisfying to get to watch that content once again keep up the great work and look forward to the next videos to come. I and the wife personally like the stray aways.from what your working on. It does give a break from it. And allows the viewer fans to get to know who you and your wife are a bit. Love the family member pets and the squirrel. And we also love that you and Jenn love vintage, whether it's music, museums, vehicles, you both are just great down to earth folks. And we our selves would love to meet you all some day and become friends. So Hello from Great Falls, Montana

the mini detours should 100% stay in your videos. it's something thats kind of unique to the format of your show. plus they give your episodes some nice variety. 👍

Hey Chris and Jen. I think that the Javelin is good for a few parts and not much more. And I have always filled my filters when possible and never had any kind of an issue from doing so. And your jumping around during the videos is fine by me. 👍

Love the detours and side adventures! It's inspiring to see how you live your life and learn so much at the same time. For example I wondered how the oil heater worked, and then you showed it 👌👌

Jen, Gus, the 'compound', the collection of 'stuff' running the gamut.....dude, an Airboat ride to mix up your run at the old AMC is easy to welcome. Enjoyable at every turn man, I'm now a subscriber...thanks for keeping it real.

Keep the "off topic" stuff in! The way you edit your videos is the best on KZbin. Its totally unique and works great. It feels much more authentic and less like a TV personality.

Just discovered this channel a couple days ago and it's now my favorite! The skills and work ethic of Chris is just insane... I'm from Johnstown PA and my uncles sounded just like Chris and I didn't realize how much I missed the old accent 😂

Chris personally speaking i build commercial buildings and homes,.. and sure i can work and work do video after video of working on them. but sometimes a person needs a break and you doing what YOU do... sure you need a break!!. hats off to you for showing us your part of the world.. love the little breaks you throw in. Gives me a warm feeling your human like me and after a while we all need a break mentally or physical,... or even both. recharge our batteries so to speak. I take breaks because sometimes renovating something as old as the 15, 16 even 17theenth century i come into problems and i need to get away and think bout it...somewhere else. When i come back i am clear headed and ready to proceed. Take care be safe have fun it is what life is about.

Like everyone here states. I learn something new every time I watch your show. I learn auto mechanics, tractor repair, heater maintenance, boating techniques. Dont change anything...it jeeps your show fresh partly because you have so many toys. Keep it up

i used to hang out with a girl who's dad was into javelins and he built her a bad ass amx..that car was stout..and that was in 1991...so yes its worth saving as rotted metal can be replaced and other parts can replaced also...i mean hell..there aint but so many left ..so might as well save what you can.

I love that you've got that crazy airboat. Pretty rare to see that up north. I think you should also have a hydrofoil. I once crossed from Bolivia into Peru on a hydrofoil doing roughly 80 mph across lake Titicaca. And yes that is Beavis's favorite lake.
