Yay second video! Love watching your poker journey!

Couple of tips; AJ hand you lost value by not betting turn, raising river is VERY bad idea, he folds all draws that miss and calls w all hands that beat you. KJ hand the bet isn’t bad that, a flush draw may call anyway, but ~60-$80 is better.

First hand is a bet on the turn. AJhh in the BB is a clear 3bet ($45-55). J5s is NEVER a limp on the BU. AQo in the SB is a $30-35 raise because you are oop and there are 2 limpers. Still a nice value bet on the river. The 99 hand is close. I base my decision on the respective opponent.

Gotcha, it’s hard to remember all the spots but I guess that’s what practice is for. Is J5s a raise on the button then I’m assuming? 99 hand was a tough one because I had another player to act after me and didn’t feel confident in a possible 3 way pot with 99. I called a big raise the other day with pocket 8s and drilled a set on the flop, which made me a nice profit. Learning to value pocket pairs higher now 👍🏼

The background music is great. These games are pretty soft, look for three streets of value where you can

Appreciate that, will do.

On the hand where you had J5 and the flop was T55 you had trips, but not a "set". The term "set" is only used when you have a pocket pair and no one else can have trips on that number.
@pokersam6 ай бұрын
I honestly didn’t know that, better to refer to it as trips in that situation then? Thanks for the heads up
@chanceroberts97266 ай бұрын
@@pokersam yep. To have a set you need to have a pair in your hand. Otherwise it’s just tripd

Would like you to show more hands where you play pre but miss…. Checking trips on flop isn’t bad idea, sets a trap. Your small bets sometimes might look very weak which induces some of the action you are getting. AQ more value: yes you should: Raising AQ in SB I would raise more pre flop. Bet more on flop. 1/2 pot. Checking turn is good. Betting river is good but in this spot bet ~1/2 pot again.

Just to clarify, would you like me to include more hands where I bet or call pre and I miss the flop, or I bet or call pre and end up folding to 3 and 4 bets?
@darklurker335 ай бұрын
Depends. Hands where you open and get 3 bet and find don’t make for an interesting vlog, so you don’t want to always show this; but if you are on an action table that 3 and 4 bets often preflop it should modify your ranges. Hands where you flop and miss are probably going to vlog better. All poker players who watch vlogs know that you are editing out over 90% of the hands but seeing some hands where you don’t smash the board can be interesting too.

@@darklurker33 I’ll keep that in mind for vlog 7, vlog 6 has been filmed already but I’ll make sure to include that in the future ones. Thanks for the feedback!

Just so you know the 99 hand at the end is fine to Jam. less then 50BB with all the dead money if you opponent ever fold it’s profitable and he can have Ace King Ace queen
