Ah, always a heartbreak to lose an old one... sorry for your loss.

It’s pretty devastating when an old favorite bow finally gives up. They just don’t live forever. I’m waiting for that fateful day for several of my old bows.

Now I see what happened to your hair! 😳😂 Great shooting considering it’s a new bow! Maybe thinking too much 🤷🏽♂️

I have three Bear recurves from the 60's expressed concern to my wife earlier this year and she purchased a new Bear Grizzly for me. Hope to see your "retired" bow on your wall.

Awesome bow. Beautiful groups shooting well. Noticed in your indoor shoots you are usually able to pull together the last end or two with good scoring groups. Could that be the self anger at a momentary loss of concentration? While shooting in your back yard is good for competing against yourself competitions may be at another level. It seems meets like this one is where a bunch of people get together to push each other to a greater level through the adrenaline of competition. As a chess player, I know that if one plays for a draw one is more likely to lose the darn game instead. I ordered one of these bows a few days ago and can hardly await it's arrival. Will continue shooting my #25 Black Hunter 'till then. Such nice groups until they spread out for a couple of ends. You brought them back together nicely though.

Try Super Glue 420 it’s very thin and runny it works great on bows!! I have used it on 2 bows one really bad one and it repaired both to perfect shooting condition

The pluck torqued your bow hand. Aim with both hands pulling straight though the arrow.

Aim with your hands? Please elaborate.

NOT BAD AT ALL IMO

That sucks! Can you get it repaired?
@3DArcheryАй бұрын
No, It is not a full delam. Just enough to make it unusable.

@3DArchery darnit! I watched some guy on KZbin doing repairs on them recently. I just don't remember which archery shop it was

Instead of dead hand or dynamic your hand is flying straight to the left on release (pluck)
@3DArchery14 күн бұрын
Okay, so what is causing that?
@JohnLandis-vh7ekАй бұрын
Happens, best thing you can do is not take it too hard, there's always the next comp, my advice would be don't change your bows so much, stick to one setup and really get a feel for it, all bows shoot different
@JohnLandis-vh7ekАй бұрын
Also, I don't make a big deal out of the wood/carbon arrows thing, wood arrows can shoot and tune just as well as carbon arrows can, they're just a pain in the you-know-what because of how delicate their straightness is, all carbon is is a quality of life improvement for archers
@danhaire9567Ай бұрын
You need to forget score. You need to concentrate on making quality shots. Also what is your draw weight? You seem to start strong then the weak shots happen. A lighter poundage bow would allow you to maintain your strength.
@3DArcheryАй бұрын
I do not pay attention to the score during the shoot, only afterwards do I. Not tired, I just switch over to auto pilot and not pay proper attention to the little things. Bow is 30 pounds

You had 8 or more arrows barely in the 8
@3DArchery14 күн бұрын
Barely is still an 8. That is also less than a 6” group average.
