ROUGH FIRST DAY in KOH LIPE... (Thailand)

I did the same boat trip from Koh Lanta to Koh Lipe but we stopped at 3 small islands (Koh Kradan, Koh Muk and Koh Ngai) and it was definitely quite a rocky ride. I stayed at Bundhaya Resort for 3 nights before heading back to the UK. This was my third of the 4 Thailand trips I did back in Feb 2018 where I started at Ao Nang for 5 nights, then onto Phi Phi Don Island fro 3 nights, then only 1 night in Koh Lanta and then reached Koh Lipe. I did visit Koh Lipe a year before in Jan 2017 as a day trip from Langkawi in Malaysia as you know that Koh Lipe is right on the border with Malaysia. Koh Lipe is Thailand's deep south

Thank you for share the experience of our place.... But the reason we're don't have A/C because the cool air no longer in bamboo cabin and we have the trees hot air from A/C compressor will ruin the trees... TIPS for staying cooler is open the window to get sea breeze Thank you 😘

These islands are quite remote from the coast. Installing an aircon is not worth it and it is difficult to transport equipment from the land. The cost of electricity will also be very expensive. I haven't forgotten the difficulty and monotony of getting there by boat. But I can use the sleeping method on the boat because I am a person who can fall asleep easily. Two things that annoy me the most are mosquitoes and the cost of food is about 3-4 times more expensive, but I stayed at Koh Ngai and Lipe.

Ferries have great views but they can be ROUGH! Not every bungalow will be perfect unfortunately. That was a tricky lock! Tasty looking lunch.

The Bamboo huts are the worst to stay in a tropical climate, little protection from mosquitoes and no aircon. There are so many places to stay and most are not on the main booking sites! Best to book one night and then look around for something better!

i recommend finding another hotel, that cabin is better suited for camper. unless you really like being close to nature.

There is not bathrooms on the boat but there is usually one at the ferry terminals :)
