another with loads of good info and ideas, love the on the fly decisions and ideas, most of my builds are like that, don't know what I will make until I have started usually, not built anything like that myself but sat here thinking a cast bronze handle would be cool on that

Thanks, Andy. I've never been much of a planner. I find that if I try to plan things out, then I spend too much free time thinking about the process. I'd much rather wing it, then be surprised by the outcome. I've actually thought about that sort of thing, except casting a resin handle around a tang. a cast bronze handle would be really cool though.
