I was thinking...instead of having three 2 in. roof vent penetrations, could you combine them all in the attic space and just have one 3 in vent going through the roof? I would think if the horizontal distance isn't too long on those, and if you increase the main vent size to 3 in. that would work? I do know there's a limit of horizontal length that you can go on vents. I just think fewer penetrations the better.

You would need to check with your local building departments if you have one to answer your question, but it usually isn't a problem and the two vents could have tied into each other.

Do I need wooden beams going across the top to join adjacent walls on a gambrel roof which will be 8 metres wide. There will be a wall going through at 5 metres from floor to roof. Thanks. I hope I explained that OK.

A washer Machine ,drain code that is often overlooked. 2 inch drain is required. I don't know why but I have been called on it. The building inspectors did not have a good answer other than that's the way it is.

I think it's about the volume of water going through it as it drains very quickly and normally joins to a 2 inch pipe on the sink.
