Those are absolutely fantastic modern slip joints. I've had mine for a couple of years. It is razor sharp and I love the sound of it opening and closing. Nice popping noise. Thank you for sharing. George.

Rubbing alcohol is good at removing the oils on the micarta. The Apta is a neat line of knives, that is a great looking blade. Thanks, George and Merry for the review.

George I saw your other video on the ATPA knife and i had watched many of your Rough Rider videos and I went shopping and bought this knife and when it came in I immediately thought now this looks like a knife George would like and I was very impressed with the value Rough Rider provided as this was my first of that brand and I immediately ordered the knife you are holding and sent it in that bunch of stuff to you with the scraps of leather I sent and there was other stuff in there as well, but glad your finally able to review it, there were a couple of other knives in there too, the Kizer you have already reviewed and there is a Buck I think called a Selkirk or something like that, anyway good review and I am putting together another box for you but still waiting on those knives from my niece , keep up the good videos George, stay safe my friend

The Steel is VG10, The APTA Series, great Knives. All so, this Series has interchange Blades from each of the Knives in the APTA Series ,model in the Handles. If you do swap the Blades ,it is recommended that you use the Spring from the other Knives, Hence the Name APTA.

Really like this knife. I use it for work quite often. The VG10 compared the usual 440 holds an edge alot longer. Only down side is as a work knife there's no lock and it gets dirty easy and the textured micarta is hard to keep clean.

I like them George and I have got the copper one as well I've got many GEC and lots of other ones rough Rider I just don't know how they do it for the price but that is a way to go rough rider all the way do you know when you pay for a GEC is bad for your wallet and you're not happy when you buy a rough rider you feel like you've been out on the robbing and you come back with a smile on your face and that's every time you get a rough rider

@ I don’t remember the model name/number but my SHTF bag had a canoe’ish carbon steel bladed, black micarta handled RR knife that can be my son’s when I’m gone .. makes me regret more $ spent on lesser knives - I saw no hype in your review. Be well

Hey George. Check this out. I went to smkw to look at this knife. That blade steel is supposed to be made from vg-10 steel. Wuuuuuuutt??? Much better than 440a. Thought you might like this information. I think I'll get one. OrMore😅😅❤
