This is a great series. The canoe is my hands down favorite. I'm not usually a trapper guy but after your review I think I just might have to pick one up.

@Hammockrider I like both the Canoe and Trapper. I've been wanting to get more from the series. Thanks for checking the video out!!

The covers on that trapper look really cool. And VG10 steel at that price point is just awesome. Nice looking knife, buddy!

It's a pretty cool trapper with VG10.

I am collecting knives in this series. VG10 is a nice step up from the basic steels. These just may be the best Trappers available unless you spend a lot more money.

I only have 2 so far this Trapper and the Canoe. I'd like to get the Barlow and Copperhead.

@factorsofjack I just ordered a few more from the series tonight, including the copperhead. I'll make a video in the Wasp series when the order comes in. I just found your channel while looking for more information on the series.

@LastChanceKnives Cool! I'll be looking forward to it. I just watched your video on the Classic Carbon Stockman and subscribed. I have one and actually carried a couple of days this week.

@factorsofjack Thanks! I had already subbed to you earlier when looking for more info. The hardness test was great to confirm that the steel was at least different from their 440a and run hard. It's been a while since I had vg10, but just as I remember, it sharpens pretty quickly on diamond stones.

@LastChanceKnives I haven't use either of the Wasps enough to need sharpening yet. I used the Apta enough that it finally needed honing and stroping.

Wish they would stop putting the nail nick AND the long pull on trappers, just pick one and stick with it. Thanks for sharing.

Guess I'd agree with you on that, It's a little too much. I seem to naturally use the nick which is closer to the tip of the blade. I do like that the nicks are one opposite sides of each other. The spey blade nick on my Case is partially behind the clip point blade.
