What is your front and rear ride height measurement from center of the wheel to the fender and has it been aligned?
@alexklein4554 жыл бұрын
What do you mean they pop out?
@boost17284 жыл бұрын
@@alexklein455 the shock extends longer than the length of the spring; under a lot of articulation, the rear springs just.... fall out. Like to replace the coil you don’t have to disconnect the shock or anything. You just jack the frame off the ground and the rear will say enough to pull the springs out... not a good thing when you’re rock crawling. I don’t want to use limit straps because I don’t want to limit it’s ability to travel.. that defeats the purpose of building the truck. But I do need to keep the coils in place, and this should’ve been part of the initial design. I even bought 2” spacers to help close the gap but it still isn’t enough. I’ve been getting into more high speed stuff and I just can’t do anything with the truck because every time I get any air the springs literally just fall out.

After installing a 7.5 inch lift kit from y’all on my 07 1500 suburban . My transfer case is giving me a metal scraping sound when the front drive shaft is attached . Replaced drive shaft and front diff thinking that was the issue but narrowed it down to the transfer case . Which was fine before the lift and had plenty of oil in the transfer case . Wondering if I needed a spacer or something for the front drive shaft

Why does this video not show that you have to cut the drivers side lower control arm bracket? Is that something that came about later? Just curious why this one does not mention it and the Aug 2013 video shows that it has to be cut.

Yup, jus need to do some minor rewiring to extend the suspension height sensor on the strut. The wire harness won’t allow you to reconnect the sensor with the strut spacer

What about the air ride self leveling in the rear? What do you do about that?
@mrnotnomis9 ай бұрын
Not sure if you still need info, but when based on this, it looks like it's not affected. You re-use the same shocks and they are bolted to the relocation bracket at the bottom. So there's no change to the top part of the shock or the travel length. Theoretically, you can use the air ride shocks with this kit. But I am just random internet dude with a driveway and a wrench, so take that as it is.

Yes you would. As noted on the site you have to run aftermarket offset wheels on that kit due to the lifted knuckles that are included in the kit.

@RoughCountryTV8 жыл бұрын
+Darren Kampstra This kit requires the 18 or larger wheels due to the lifted knuckle. The 17 obviously will not work. You would either have to go with larger wheels or a smaller kit that does not have a lifted knuckle.

Danny Garcia Get it aligned at a 4 wheel parts if you have one near you. Or somewhere where they align large lifted over sized tire vehicles all the time. Dont expect an everyday mom n pop shop to align it correctly. Computers usually wont do the trick anymore after you get a lift.

Can’t keep sway bar links on it they are breaking left and right. Rebuilt the whole front end and it’s still not perfect. Weird pops and groans, the rear axle isn’t even centered. @RoughCountryTV6 жыл бұрын
No it is not compatible with the AWD Denali
@20tea6 жыл бұрын
Rough Country , ok so why the lack of lift kits out there for the awd? CV shafts too pricey and or the auto ride a problem? I got the 6.2 and found after i got it, not many lift kits are available. Awd is ok, I'm using it to tow a jeep so hard core 4 wheel not necessary. Guess a leveling kit and body lift for me then. What's up with the Escalade getting lift kits though? Denali the same right?
@derekchipman16535 жыл бұрын
This will work same as it did on my Escalade you just have to buy rough country’s dual cardone front drive shaft. They have it labeled under the Denali truck. As for auto ride you just have to extend the front sensors and extend the wires on the shock plug so that it will run through the strut spacer to still plug in. As for the rear sensor you just have to move it up the tract bar till it’s back at its original height. Hope this helps.
