I'd love to see you play a few turns or a patrol of this - I've got the first edition, and every time I try to read the rulebook, I feel that it would be more straightforward to actually captain a submarine.

I bought it a few weeks ago and it's on the table. Fun game. Note that there were some errors and omissions with the counters, which I did not know until I got a package in the mail from Compass with the fixes. That is great customer service.

Great video. Looks a daunting game but i am very tempted from the moment you said it was solitaire. I honestly thought it's not for me as its going to be multiplayer. Looking forward to your playthrough one day.

I borrowed the 1.0 version from a friend a long time ago and played it. Honestly, I found out it a bit repetitive. Set up the encounter, roll dice, rinse, and repeat ad nauseam. So I didn't pull the trigger on the 2.0 version during pre order. But I will pick it up for half off at the upcoming Compass Games Expo in November

I have a sister game of this one: Steel wolves. Atlantic thethre, you play as a commander of Kriegsmarine and sinking merchants is a main goal sinking warships is nice bonus for prestinge in political fight with other army branches.

Id like to see you do a lets play of this Rough. The game looks fun but I will have to visit it next year as my hobby funds are just about spent for the year and I won't go over the budget! Looks like a fun game but the map seems a bit busy.

I have my eye on Banish All Their Fears and quite possibly the Battles of the American Revolutionary War tri-pack with Brandywine, Guilford Courthouse and Saratoga in it. Likely to be the final game purchases of the year. No doubt the map will be easier after a number of playing. I am finding that out with Vassal. Played a scenario from Arracourt earlier and starting to get more comfortable with Vassal.@@RoughSwordsmanWargamer

Sorry Rough, completely off topic mate but quick question - have you backed the KIckstarter for Volume 4 of Old School Tactical? That's one system I've always thought that you'd really, really enjoy. We seem to have similar wargame tastes and for me personally, OST is my favourite WWII tactical system by a long chalk and I've played a lot of them. I've always reckoned that you'd enjoy it too. Back on track...great job with the unboxing video!

Hi Timothy, no didn't back this. When Mark Walker was on The War Room he said that shipping and VAT would be so high that it wasn't viable for us in the UK. Hopefully get to purchase in the future.
