That's what very few people understand about Jon Theodore's drumming in the Mars Volta. It is well documented that Omar has always asked his drummers for "more ghost notes". Jon has delivered the best execution of Omar's vision IMHO, and it has been beautifully captured here by Rodrigo's drumming.
