That’s a great video!!! The open field pass for first at the 18 min mark. Nice racing.

Thanks man!!! And hell yeah haha that was ballsy and it felt WAY more off camber than the video showed. I noticed him slow down slightly to go over that rock and the outside line I took was smoother so I just went for it.

You guys have some awesome race courses. You were showing them how it’s done in those rock gardens. Looks like the bike took some damage. Congrats on another podium!

Yeah we are very fortunate! That’s why I race in Virginia and not North Carolina the courses up there are just so good! Yes the left shroud and number plate broke off when I snacked a tree but overall just cosmetic damage. Thanks! It wasn’t easy yesterday those guys pushed hard

15:45 ish, that was the 🔥 hottest hot line I've ever seen. Thought that guy was on a totally different portion of the track till he jumped out in front of everyone 😮

Yeah man hahaha I actually just went back and looked in slow motion at 15:29 you can see him going down that hill right there to my right he likely slide out in that exact spot bc I saw guys stuck there a couple times and it was so steep and slippery that you basically were totally F'd if you slid down even a little bit. I THINK he gave up and went down the mountain a bit hoping to find a better way up and looks like he found another trail or fire road. You're right though... the hottest of hot lines hahaha

Really enjoy the videos and commentary. Great video quality too. Something to consider with the front end wash when *entering corners. Forks could be too soft. diving…then knife or I feel like k see That rear end could over power the front sometimes in the videos. I had the same issue on the ktms. But who knows? Lol keep killing it. I look forward to the next vid! I race vchss and nchsa but these course look fun as heck.

Thanks man! Yeah the camera is doing well it's a DJI Action 3 less than $400 its supposed to record over 2 hours but I have yet to get more than about an hour 50 minutes. Hmm yeah you are likely right about the front end. I really don't know if it was bc I was used to that TE again since I rode it the previous race which I almost never tuck the front end on that so maybe I was just trusting it a bit much bc of that.. who knows. I had 13psi in that front tire as well bc I knew it was going to be rocky and I normally run tubliss at like 11 or 11.5PSI. I really dont know anything about suspension setup and usually seem to make things worse when I touch clickers. I have raced NCHSA a few times when I raced back in 2018 and 2019 before my 3 year break. I like it too but it seems like more open faster stuff and more red clay whereas Virginia courses are all nice loamy black dirt and more technical and tighter. I actually live in Raleigh NC and I choose to drive to the VA races instead.

@@SkinnySkinch same dude, live in Durham and plan to make all the vchss races this year, Always looking for riding buddies. I see blue caps on those forks? Maybe kyb? Anyways, try a bit stiffer. It’s counterintuitive (had the same feeling) but give it a go!

@@thomasramos6095 Nice dude we are super close I live off hwy 98 and Creedmoor Rd we need to ride sometime. I do have KYB insert conversion to spring forks on this bike. I had them done in 2018 or 2019 when I first started racing then they sat for 3 years while I took a break. I sent them off recently for a rebuild and he supposedly also valved them for me but previously were valved for C rider.

Looked for ya but forgot what your set up was and with no cell service could oy look at what you told me lol. great race you were moving. I had a good race but lost my rear brake quarter into lap 1, 4 laps on the off cambers without a rear brake sucked and not sure what happened to it other than the banjo bolt maybe came a little loose letting the fluid out. It was a fun course I though with the up hills. Your 250 is going to need some love after that one.

Dang man yeah I ended up getting there Saturday night but bc it was such a late minute decision for me with it being 4.5 hours away I decided to take my suburban with a bike hitch hauler instead of driving my silverado and towing the trailer so far. I slept in the suburban it worked out nice. Plus with how windy it was that night my trailer would have been rocking all over the place. I had ZERO cell service too. That sucks about your rear brake man. I dunno how you guys ride like that. if I lose my brakes I probably would just call my race lol I wouldnt feel comfortable pushing. Yeah that course was fun. I like that more technical stuff usually. I really need to get my suspension set up better too it kills me at times. And yeah... my poor KTM lol thats my second set of red bull shrouds that have been destroyed 2 weekends in a row. So bummed. I'll have to find another set on ebay or something. Catch you at the next one

@@SkinnySkinch This was the first time I ever had a brake failure and it was not fun at all lol. The section you broke the front number plate had some steep downwhills with off camber made it difficult to not knife the front endwith the just that brake. Should be at the next one, I need redemption from last year with how bad the mud was I lost my cluth on a Kawi 450.That race was end of the 450 and 4 stokes for me.

Cool pass to grab first. So you decided to stop and hug the trees to give the others time to catchup ? Haha. Man when youre having a good time its noticeable in your voice and you usually end up on a podium. I bet that Mako 360 got a workout in those rocks. If your boss was smart he would sponsor you, oh wait he would go broke just from buying new plastics haha. Man yall were ripping it all day. Apple a day keeps the doctors away and you had a whole field of apple trees and not the first apple, thats my luck too. Tree 1 Skinny 0 Congrats buddy on third.

😂😂😂😂😂 yeah Im a big tree hugger had to stop for a minute and let them catch up. I definitely was having a good time. I am dreading these Summer temps coming up soon... I'll be having not so good a time then 😂. Yes the Mako 360 got a workout and I got my monies worth out of it. Yeah my boss would be broke. I am sick and tired of buying new ones myself. Thats 2 weekends in a row and 2 sets of red bull graphics down the drain. Oh well.
