Great ride Scott. Congrats on another podium and 18th overall is awesome! Nice!

Thanks Donny those results aren’t really accurate bc of the super low turnout but hey I’ll take it. I just hope the AMA doesn’t think I’m actually that good 🤣 I do NOT want to get bumped to A class

@@SkinnySkinch I just looked you up in the AMA rider lookup. You’re good for now but I’m not sure they have your results all correct.

@@DirtBikingwithDonnie yeah I won’t even be close. I was just kidding but if all my races had such low turnout and I kept getting top 20 overall finishes I would get bumped. I’m typically in the top 50-70 which isn’t close to an AMA bump.

Good ride Scott. That was my son that passed you at 31:37 mark. He went down on the first two bridges and fell back from the 500 line . He was on the hunt

Thanks Aaron. You passed me on last lap as well then I caught back up. I had a guy on my ass in my class but I didn’t know it was you in front of me I didn’t recognize the bike/gear.

honestly that was some of your best riding yet. not sure if you caught precovid you's cardio level or not but you were sending it with way less effort and way smoother than ever before. tip for them wood bridges you want to use as little throttle as possible if any to get across them. in a perfect world you get just enough speed to roll across and slam that throttle down when you hit dirt on the otherside. it's the tire spinning on the wet wood that takes you out.

Thank you! I do so much better when the temps are cooler. I did catch Covid a few times but im just not in good shape anyways. The heat really gets to me bc of how poor shape I am in. Still about 220lbs and in really bad physical conditioning. Yes I agree about those bridges. I have always thought they should add a little piece of 1x to the edge of the bridge just to keep peoples rear wheels from going off the edge so easily. But you're right just coasting over with 0 throttle input is the key.

@@SkinnySkinch you're genuinely a better smoother and dare i say "good rider" now. it's great you're still on you weight loss journey and dare i say you ride this smoothly with a winter of cardio behind you you could flirt with the A class at any age

@@georgewarshington1230 I really appreciate the kind words. I found a local riding group the fall of last year one of the riders is a Master A rider the other is a 55B rider and theres a few more fast ones in the group too. It has been greatly beneficial being able to trail ride and follow them. When I raced 3 years ago I just raced every weekend and never ever practiced or trail rode so I wasn't really learning much. I noticed following these guys how much they always pulled away from me in the corners and out of the corners. They carried so much more momentum through the corner and got on the gas early with great corner exit speed. I think that has been my biggest improvement learning from them. I still have a long way to go to hang with the A riders though. I compare lap times to the 30A guys and I am pretty consistently 2-3 minutes per lap behind the top 5 guys in 30+A. I make a lot of little dumb mistakes and my cardio is not nearly there so im not really pushing as hard as I could push knowing I am going to run out of "gas" if I do. So if I can fix/limit the little time sucking mistakes and get in shape I'll be a little closer. I have a goal of winning a B championship and moving to A before I turn 40 and move to the 40+ class. 4 more seasons to accomplish that.

Good to see you back at it and much improved. You might consider a left hand rear brake set up for two reasons, no need to get your right foot on the peg when you have both outriggers out. Two it will usually still work when you foot lever has take a hit. Practice two finger front brake, you will find you don't need the rear brake all that much. Haul ass, take names.

Heyyy great to hear from you again! How have you been? I took a few years off but we’re back! Funnily enough I actually have a left hand rear brake sitting in my tool box from my 2016 KTM 500 that I had years and years ago. I bet it would swap right on. This time wouldn’t have helped bc that red ribbon is what got caught between my brake pads and the rotor and kinda melted inside there. My pads and rotor are toast. After a while I actually didn’t mind only the front brake I got used to it.

If you rode my speed you wouldnt need brakes😹. You may not realize but by you mentioning on your toes being in saved you from a messed up leg may help others so thats a big thumbs up for the teachable moment. I knew you couldnt make a whole race without molesting a tree haha. Jesse must had a off day. I dont think I ever seen him lay the bike over in your video or you mentioning him going down. It is so obvious that your endurance has really improved throughout the season. Wow the last lap there at the end you were a rocket. Yikes that last tree hurt my shoulder geez dude you need a warning label on your videos “ watching may lead to injury” 😹. Congrats on 2nd. Donnie got first in his race but I guess 2nd will work 😹😹😹😹

😂😂😂 yeah Donnie whooped me. I was lucky to get 2nd. I think I was actually in 4th on last lap but one guy got stuck somewhere and the other I passed right before the end. Yeahhh those trees like to reach out and grab me. They have a mind of their own 😂

Can I sign up for tank city 30+C with never having done an official race before? I’ll get my AMA. I imagine everyone has to start somewhere right?
@SkinnySkinch
@SkinnySkinch Жыл бұрын
Yep as long as you have never raced in B class before you absolutely can sign up for C class and SHOULD sign up for C class as you are considered a beginner in the eyes of the AMA. Depending on how many races you do and how well you do in those races will determine if the AMA moves you to B class or you stay in C.

@@AmoneyC There is no rule on modifications it's an open class can run any size bike you want as long as it's above 99cc. Not sure what an airbox snorkel is though.
