Will see if Gannon can keep it up next year too. I haven’t watched disc golf for long but it looks like players just find something special in their game for a year or so and then it evens out the next year. Calvin also looked unbeatable last year(not to this level though), but he’s just back to normal again this year. I feel for Ricky though…he’s been playing really well and consistently well this year but can’t keep up with Buhr.

It’s the downfall of wannabe failed athletes from other sports and old people having a chance at pro. Gannon is just the beginning and first of his kind. This what happens when you get a body type made for disc golf and a young athlete who’s been giving it all to disc golf and treating it like a real sport his whole life. Sport is still in its early stages in terms of growth. It’s like how the Japanese are starting to dominate skateboarding

Quite the opposite. He will push his competitors to actually practice enough to be as good as him, or accept they will never be able to beat him. Tiger Woods created a generation of golfers that took over because they saw what it takes to be the best.

If Buhr keeps winning idk about the downfall cuz I think DG is in a good place. But it makes watching any elite series or major rather boring, lame and predetermined.
