This is the second time I've done the landmine strategy in a tournament and it seems to work really well. I tried it about 7 months in the KPO 2 because it was the meme strategy for the week and that was a good game as well: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e36zYX-IlMuYfbc

No way! What a nail-biter. Well played. With so many great players and kill-guarding, not surprised everyone waited to explore and deduce before trying a kill. Some of the time it's a complete kill sweep, more often a failed kill is decisive. Good job managing to split properly under pressure -- I know it was touch and go there!

I think you still had the first white kill early that you failed. You could go through orange in the middle and then double tap the stack you were worried about. Gratz on great placement though regardless!

My heart rate was going through the roof and I wondered if I should recommend you add a heart rate monitor. Then I could hear the stress in your voice and figured that was equivalent 😂

SMG should add a fourth option under the histogram button allowing you to enter a mode where clicking a territory shows all the connections similar to when you attack.

Does the no-bonus rule apply in the endgame? Pretty sure you had some bonuses on your second to last turn.

The no bonus rule only applies until somebody gets killed/a bounty is taken. After that you can take bonuses.

The "Cannot hold a bonus" modifier is only in effect until the first bounty/kill is taken.

I like the modifier. It gets rid of the lucky spawns that the blizzards make and where you randomly spawn also makes it harder to path in the beginning. If you fail the kill and take the bonus is such a bigger risk.
