Dude is a wizard on fret and string position and not thinking twice about where he's at during the solo

The very last lick as the volume is dropping is my favorite. I have slowed it down and noticed that he uses a descending blues scale. He will play four descending notes then go back up and play another four descending but this time a note lower and so on. Absolutely beautiful lick.

For some reason I"m finding this outro harder to wrap my mind around than the main solo. I think the main solo is more precise and structured, whereas the outro is more improvised. Great job breaking it down to the ideas, Car!
@autocrow5 жыл бұрын
Wow. That's a hard one! Great way to improve simply trying to get at least a few of those licks in there. I'll be making up a lot of it for now. For something this hard, I try to get in as many of the licks as I can and make up the rest, slowly working in more proper licks over time. I just learned this song and I love playing it!! Especially to a backing track with vocals! Thanks for the lesson. : )

I am currently working on that 20th fret pull off to the 13th fret , man ! That stretch , I notice it gets easier if I hold the neck so the headstock is pointing straight up at the ceiling and the body up to my chin 😂😂😂😂

I am guessing, by what I am hearing, that Warren is bassing his main solo part off of some sort of Harmonic minor & blues scale patterns....But I am just guessing. I am probably comepletely wrong. Does anyone know what kind of scales he is playing?
@ledbthand3 жыл бұрын
Minor pentatonics with the dorian 6th, flat 5, and (I think) an occasional major 3rd. Also, the song is in Em, but the solo is in Am. Gives that harmonic minor / pyrgian~ish vibe.
